Thanks, Jason! I haven't tried the SC version but the B&M Reserve Spice is one of the favorites in my den. Stirling Spice isn't a candidate for a full size purchase because I like the B&M so much.

    Hi all and good day!!
No time to read everything, everyone here very busy with the weather and the little ones.
    20190207_091303.jpg
The last two days were more or less normal using some of my favorite cutting devices to shave with. Got out my GEM Junior for a run around the block and it did fantastic as I expected. Absolutely love this razor with a new blade each time I use it. Yesterday's shave was lovely as expected. Two passes no blood no itch no irritation.
This morning I got out my Wilbert Cutlery Stoll Chrome Steel razor with a new blade of course and a fine shave, of course. So close to a perfect shave I dare say it was one of the best I've had in a long time. I have found that using a blade once is the best, for me the only way. Two pass no blood no irritation.
Using the using the same razor for the head shave each time was close to perfect also. Two pass no blood no irritation.
I also found out that deodorant isn't enough for me, so I put unscented antiperspirant followed by deodorant.
Life is as it should be...
By the way this is the month that I started wet shaving a year ago. Not sure what day but it was sometime in the middle of the month so I'm into it approximately one year give or take some change.
Thanks for everyone for the help advice and of course those who enabled me to push on. I didn't officially sign into the shave Den until sometime around June I think. I looked around enough here to find out this is where I need to be to learn the stuff I should have learned, when I was 16 years old.
    How to properly shave!
I know I've said it before but thanks to everyone for the help and encouragement.
    Enjoy

Thank you Perry. I have one more sample to try. After that I will load one in a container where I can face lather.

Thank you Jason. I have been using the bowl to lather the samples. I still prefer face lathering.

Thanks, Jason! That's great info. I definitely want to try it and was pondering ordering a full tub. It's safer to get a sample though.

    Wonderful black and white photo!

    Thanks, Jason!

I was hoping to kill off the VdH/Jeeves franken soap this morning but alas it will live on for one more shave. I also noticed with the Sabre that when loading the blade you need to make sure that it contacts the blade stops on both sides. The first time I tightened it down this morning one side was off and the blade was sitting crooked. I was able to loosen the hand and push on the back of the top cap to get it to true up. After that a drama free three pass shave commenced with the baby waiting at the end. I finished with some Stirling Bay Rum PSB to provide a little moisturizing and some warmth on a cold winter day. Have a great day my friends!

Look at you shaving every day. Great picture and report. I haven't noticed that with the Sabre but then again I haven't looked. My first several shaves with it were somewhat harsh and I was blaming it on a blade that wasn't quite up to the task.

Excellent shave, Andrew! It's another short sleeves day here in the South. Highs today around 80F. Unseasonably warm and humid. But tomorrow colder air blows in and highs are only in the 40s. A/C is on today at home and heat will be back on tomorrow.

Keep the Calvin & Hobbes coming Charlie! It was my favorite in college (which was the only time in my life where I read the paper everyday as it was the campus paper, not the mainstream media PRAVDA flavored stuff). Do comic strips still exist any more?

    Nice B&W shot, Jason!
