Bowls like that are great for soup....just saying.

 

It is the only luxury puck I have so probably not. But never say never. Here it is hanging with its some Tonsorial brothers. There is a lot of new soaps out there, but a mug of Williams and Old Spice are always in rotation

 

I purchased a Gibbs no. 15 adjustable that was missing its handle, so Aaron from Frugal Shave hooked me up with a replacement. It really pops.

The blade gap is uneven for some reason, I think it's because the adjustment ring is misaligned and only hitting one side of the baseplate- I've got some rubber o-rings that should solve the issue.

Nice finds.

 

I had some extra time this evening on the way to the Omaha airport. When I have extra time, and see an antiques shop, I go on the hunt. Unfortunately, they only had one straight with a broken blade. On the way out the door, I saw these two. I asked how much for the pair and when he said $10, I couldn’t resist. They are in my checked bag.
It was a lucky stop

 

So got my eBay lot in and the razors are not too bad
1- nickel goodwill from Argentina
1 - property us army old type
1- milord tech
1- gold single ring ( down to brass )
1 - psycho American tech with a different cap design than the English techs I have. It didn’t come with cap but I happen to have an extra ( sort of)

Pretty nice for 2 sided doodads...a red tip is on my aquire list.

Legacy by Avon got nothing but good reviews at basenotes.net. The first scent designed by Ann Gottlieb. The description sounds good and I'm no stranger to vintage products so I'll be watching for it!

 

One of the surprising things about it is its staying power. I put it on at 7am and my son walked through the room at 11am and said "wow, that smells nice!". I was in the office Monday night and a woman stepped in to my office and said "It smells nice in here" and that was about eight hours after applying it. I'm a happy camper!

Well I paid too much for this razor set, but it appears to be a 1953 No 45 Tech set made in England per mr-razor.com. With the crown, Google research says it is a coronation set. It appears to be an aluminum set but I will know shortly. Not sure how many were made, but the case really called to me with the burgundy color. Waiting for USPS to deliver it to me. I am thinking I should have put this on the waiting to arrive thread, but I didn't want to post twice.
