1937 Belgian Liebel, unfortunately only the head which I probably overpaid for but they don't exactly pop up often. I'll find a suitable handle.
The few people who have them really love the razor. Fingers crossed. It really is a lovely design. Photo is Jake's.
I’m not crossing anything. Here’s hoping to an awful shave. P.s. when the shave is so terrible that you need to get rid of it, let me know.
Because it shaves well and disperses lather and shaved whiskers effectively? The lather channel is common among European razors, the shape of the plate more unusual. It certainly works well in the Timeless.
A Cubano Delta Echo Fatboy- it's been three months and no word/response yet. I knew there'd be no communication getting into it, so I'm not really concerned, I'll be glad once it finally arrives. And a 90mm brass handle machined for a Gibbs adjustable.
The lather channel was not uncommon among many European razors of the period, it's the guard plate shape that's distinctive. The Merkur/Variant is just a fairly narrow flat plate. And of course the Progress/Variant isn't a modern design in any event (1955).
i was thinking of the lather channels to be honest.my knowledge of any razor non gillette is pretty limited..
I saw a sad little razor .... when I saw the name I decided to go for it. An Apollo Ben Hur 1930's ..... should be interesting.
