Love the photo Jim. Does your daughter still help with the photos? I miss Asha and Maya helping me with mine.
Gillette New Improved Weber Bulldog Handle Shark Super Stainless Chubbz (Rubberset 300N with Omega Baby Pro knot) Real Shave Co SC A nice quick shave this morning before heading out to deal with the impending ice storm. Yay. fun.
February 12, 2019 Supply SE V2 - 2 dot plate Schick Proline Paladin Stirling R4L Soap and Aftershave This week is really going by quickly. Another excellent shave this morning. The Stirling R4L soap is another vetiver based scent. It almost seems to have citrus or something that really brightens the scent. Much greener and lighter than my other vetiver soaps. This is really a very good scent. The Paladin beehive easily whipped up a rich slick lather. Three passes and touch ups with a little extra buffing on the right neck ended with the baby in hand. A splash of the match R4L aftershave followed by a spritz of Guerlain Vetiver and I am clean shaven and smelling good. I hope everyone has a great Tuesday.
February 11 & 12 Parker SRX Rapira Stainless (2, 1) 30 Day Crew LE figured maple handle w/APShaveCo Tuxedo knot Soap Commander Love Alum, Thayers WH, & USB 36th and 37th focus shaves Monday was a big day that included official business and time with our precious kiddos. I was wiped out yesterday evening (chasing kids will do that to an old guy), so I went to bed early. I got up at 10 pm (thinking it was 5 am on Tuesday), started a pot of coffee and began making breakfast before I figured out it was still Monday night. Back to bed I went for a few more hours of shut eye. We have more errands on tap for today. I'm hanging in there with my focus shaves. They are fairly routine now. The SRX is a trusted friend, and he knows all my secrets. The Soap Commander is definitely on the run and is losing the race. About a large sample size remains. Have a great Tuesday!
Thanks, Clint! Performance wise A&E along with Wholly Kaw hold the top spots in my den. Grooming Dept tallow and duck fat is nipping right at their heels. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
February Focus Jabonman Vetiver de Haiti~~DG5/Thäter Beehive~~Dovo 91~~Cigar Aficionado AS SR #23 Getting up pretty early these days, so I can get a shave in. Today, I gave the Jabonman a second shot...the soap has developed the dreaded granules and with so many tremendous soaps on my shelf, it is with a heavy heart that I have decided to ditch the rest. I still have two Eufros soaps, one being the TSN LE, which is a lovely vetiver, so I don't think that I'll be missing out on anything. Dovo 91 today (disregard the "Sunday Shaver") I'll eventually use it on Sundays. This razor is one of the easiest straights I own to strop. Somehow, I can roll it back and forth between my fingers and leave my shoulder out of the equation. Not so with some of my other straights. I really like the pointed toe. It allows for very accurate goatee and sideburn cutting. The fancy spine, while interesting to look at, I can take or leave. The Declaration Grooming B5 was as soft as ever, delivering the less-than-spectacular lather to my face. One small bite, when I was cleaning up the goat. Not a 911 situation. Finished the shave with a newly acquired AS: Cigar Aficionado. Nice juice.
Charlie, that's pretty funny! Getting up at 10pm and then realizing you've got several more hours of sleep to go. Sounds like something I'd do after a hard day of dealing with teenagers! Congrats on tackling the Soap Commander!
Thanks Perry. True story...haven't done that for a long time. I'd be doing it all the time if I had your job...and probably talking to myself also. Have a great day!
Finished off a twofer of WSP Mahogony, followed by Aqua Velva Musk AS. The Maggard brush did me well, but I think it's a little to big for the WSP puck. I may need to begin assigning certain brushes to certain soaps. Then again, I don't want to find myself using the same brush two days in a row. But I think I can safely say the Maggard with the WSP isn't a good match. Makes for a bit of a sloppy shave(but it gets the job done).
Found these in a 20 and 47 ounce size. I don't know about the texture and I have not ordered any. I may get the 20 ounce in the future. https://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/st...Vl7XACh0CwAzAEAQYAyABEgL6NvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds Break the Williams out and make Fuzzy smile....just don't bloom it.
