Didn't they port all the 2600 games to work on the TI-86 graphing calculator?

Never had a game machine when I was growing up. My cousins had one w/ Pong. Used to love playing that.

Just think if the atari would have had the capability of a remote joystick. I could have played pong for hours. Followed by frogger and Donkey Kong. Oh the memories.

The tv's were only 13 inches back then so you couldn't sit too far back. :D

Unless you were one of the rich kids that had a 25 inch console TV.

I at least got a few UHF stations as well... But yeah... 13 inch tv which sat on dresser in the closet. We sat on folding chairs in front of the dresser to play.

Couldn't find the remote for one of our TV's the other night. Jackie wanted to watch "her" show and needed the channel changed. Swear to God I couldn't figure it out. No dials, buttons, sensors, panels or any other trap doors that I could find. Had to let her watch on my TV. I still don't know how to do it! Better find that remote quick.

Typing about the old video games/tvs got me thinking... back then it was a special family treat to go and rend a Beta for a weekend during the Christmas Holidays and watch some movies.

    *sigh*

Shep I can even out do that. I know how to change the channel on the TV but I will actually not walk over to it. I will spend an hour finding the remote and then change it. It is a matter of principle.

Justin, before we had a VCR we had a disc player. The thing took disc that were about 13 inches in diameter. That was living man. BTW my folks still had a rotary phone up until about 4 years ago. The worst part of it was they were RENTING it from the telephone company.

I can be the same way with the remote.

Did your laser disc player play both sides or did you have to flip it over half way though?

I just found a pair of scissors in my laundry, I wonder what the clothes will look like when it comes out of the dryer.

Thing of it is there has to be a way to change the channel for this damn thing. For the life of me I could not see where or how to accomplish it.

Shep, can any of your other remotes work as multibrand remotes?

some tv remotes can accept codes to work for other brands
