I am liking this little Razor a lot , having finally discovered that it does work for me. After futile efforts of getting a Shave, I decided to try my unfavorite blade and guess, A Personna works in the Personna. In fact a really good Shave with a nice close finish all round. All I need now is some 74 blades to go in it.

Ever-Ready 1924 Razor on an Ikon Tuckaway Handle
    GEM SS Blade

As a nod to St Valentine.....I just HAD to use the MLS Panty Dropper!

The 1924 is a razor I have had for some time but with very little use as the Original travel handle was just too short and slippery. Yesterday's arrival of some 2BA 3/8 grub screws has allowed me to do something about it. The extra heft and grip of the Ikon Tuckaway has transformed the razor.Shaves now approach those obtained by my Streamline...it is a joy to use! The shave passed the Alum test and my face is absolutely Bowling Ball Smooth:)

    Tabac AS

My prep was just a cold water rinse. The Tabac Shaving Soap face lathered well with the Jayaruh #353 Badger/Boar brush. I did two passes with the Damaskeene 1912 razor with a Gem Blue Star SE blade and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Tabac AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    Blade: Schick
    Razor: PAL Adjustable
    Brush: JR #60 synthetic
    Soap: Stirling Sharp Dressed Man
Post: Witch hazel, Stirling Sharp Dressed Man aftershave

Yet another smooth and successful shave from the PAL Adjustable. Setting 4 today with great results. Pull the handle way down toward your face and keep the guard bar touching your skin. It is not the angle of the Schick injectors - nothing close. Smooth shaving machine with that in mind. Have a great day!

Yes I got it in an unopened box, was disappointed when initially I could not get a Shave with a Schick blade. Now with a Personna blade it is excellent.

The Shovel Heads are nice but like you I find a different handle makes all of the difference. Nice photo.

It has been a long time coming but I am finally at ease with this Razor, and today I achieved what I think is my best ever Shave with it. A really nice close all round finish apart from the corners of the mouth, a bit of a blindspot for me with other Razors too. The smoothness and comfort of the Shave was in my mind helped along by the quality lather from the Vitos soap, which for some reason seems to be out of favour.
