    Completely unfocused today.
    Hotel shave.

    Breakfast is a disaster.
Had to change rooms last night, because the commode wasn't functioning. Deal-Breaker.
    Bed was soft enough.
    Palm-lathered the Moon.

Got a good lather with the CH2.

    Get where I am going?
Put a sharp blade in it and you ARE going to get a great shave. Period.

Most of us shavers (myself mos def included) could solely shave with this utilitarian razor
and never have a bad shave. Wouldn't that throw a monkey wrench in the shaving industry economy?
Oh well, that's been said many times before.

Moisten the finger tips of your off-hand, rub them on an alum block, and it will be much easier to stretch your skin with them. The alum provides extra grip on slick skin. :happy088:

Awesome shave, Andrew! It's cool to see Declan all decked out for Valentine's Day. Happy 2nd birthday to Logan today. I can't wait to see some photos of his big day!

@Linuxguile did a Wednesday/Friday switcheroo this week to see if us old guys were paying attention. Logan has a birthday party today, so I'm banking on a few cool photos from the big event!

I have always shaved mostly in the morning. It gives everyone around me the best look at my rugged manly mug. It's just one small way that I can give back to society. ;) I don't mind getting up a few minutes early so that I can take my time. It helps me get focused for the day ahead.

When I do shave at night, though, I'm still good to go the next morning.

    Good good morning all!!
Everyone and everything here doing fine. I hope everyone else is the same. 20190216_072412.jpg
It's been somewhere around a year since I started this endeavor, and I thought I would bring out an old disposable razor just to see where I'm at with all of this. Preparation was the same I would normally do to shave with a real razor, using trusted soap and my favorite brush.
So, I pull out the box of razors that my wife had bought so many for me on sale, because I used so many, so quickly and tried one.
How was it you may be thinking?
Well, the pulling of the whiskers was so bad I didn't get through the first cheek. Not by accident, I had another razor loaded and ready to go, just in case something like this might happen. I finished the job with my Starling V2, who would have thought.
Yes, around a year ago the decision to change how I shaved and how I prepared to shave was a very, very, good decision.

Now, as usual, when things like this come about, my decision was cheered on by others, to my benefit.
I can't say that there weren't times when I struggled with all these sharp implements, that the thought cross my mind to just go back to the old way.
The reward this morning was.... a wonderful, no blood, no nick, no cut, no burn, smooth, shave.
Life, is as it should be!
Now, I have more than a few dozen of old disposable razors to give away. But I really don't know who to give them to because, I really don't dislike anybody quite that much.
    Got to run!

Thanks to everyone especially the ones who "enabled" me to get this far.
    :thanks:
Now I'm off to see all the wonderful people in my life.

    Enjoy
    tp

Y'know that song sounds funny at Kaeroke.....it's all over at "but you can never leave, thus if you don't have an instrument you might as well walk back to your table and wait til it's "over". .
