Great day, Clint! You have a beautiful daughter. A no shave day is quite the rarity for you. Sent from my SM-T800 using Tapatalk
I’m sure it always feels to brief, glad you had a great time. It’s been along time since I went to the Desert Museum glad to see it still is fun. I enjoyed living in Tucson, some beautiful scenery in the Sonoran Desert.
Today was my first Safety Razor shave ever. Thanks for all the help and education I've received here. I used Williams shave soap, lathered in a bowl with a cheap badger brush (no idea the brand), my brand new Viking's Blade Godfather razor, and a Personna DE blade. No problems, nicks, cuts, rash, burn, anxiety, heartburn, or ill feelings. A very nice shave, at least as close, probably closer, than with my old Harry's cartridge setup. I finished off with some Clubman aftershave. Wife is happy. I am happy. Like I tend to do with all things, I probably "over-prepared" as far as reading and researching all the things that could go wrong when beginning this journey, which, again as usual, led to a pleasant and slightly unexpected satisfaction when absolutely none of them happened. I must be a natural born shaver. Or 40 years of shaving with "modern" setups got me ready for this. Very nice day #1. Shave #2 will happen in 2-3 days, if I stay with my typical schedule. Thanks again, All! Carl
Thank you guys. Jason it rare for me to have a no shave day. I’ll make up for it when I get home this afternoon. Keith the scenery around Tucson is gorgeous. I never get tired of the long range vistas. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
That looks like more fun than my average Monday. That definitely looks more fun than my average Monday. Looks like an awesome trip, Clint! Glad you had a great time. Congrats, Carl! To start out with your first DE shave without problems or incident is definitely an accomplishment. (So is getting a decent lather out of Williams without whatever voodoo Fuzzy obviously resorts to). Anyway, keep up the good work, post questions as they arise and feel free to join in the shenanigans at any time. Cheers, Brother!
Awesome first safety razor shave! You did way better than I did on my first. I proceeded like I was using a cart, too much pressure and bad angle and I made a mess of myself. Congrats! Sent from my SM-T800 using Tapatalk
Gillette New Improved Weber Bulldog Handle Gillette Silver Blue (3) Semogue BC Mistura Real Shave Co. SC First shave since Thursday. I spent a little extra time on prep and had a nice comfy shave. Not as close it could have been, but nice none the less. Enjoy your day.
