Glad to hear it.

Pretty nice. It warmed up today. We were supposed to get a beautifully warm day tomorrow close to 50, but it seems like we've got some wind coming in, so it'll feel like the high 30s. Not too bad for the dead of winter.

 

Sounds a lot better than the snow/ice you have been dealing with.

I think I found the pen that I used for the note I sent with your blades,
It was an Esterbrook with a 9550 nib filled with Noodlers Starry Starry night.(Maybe)

 

Well I'm shutting down for the night. Weather was real nice here today. It was wet and muddy with all the melting snow. But it was nice to be outside without a jacket for once.

Looks like a bunch of you have left for the day, I plan to do the same, but I wanted to come catch up on some threads. I had a great day. Didn't injure either of my hands! Looks like I am one of few today!

Back at home tonight, Jameson took the trip like a champ again.

Picked up a Sunbeam Hotshot at Target to heat water for my aeropress. That will be great for making coffee at my desk at work!

A lot of the snow/ice melted. I just stepped outside in shorts and a t-shirt and it was lovely.

Hmm. There's a pen store near Chinatown that I buy my inks from. I will take a gander at this Starry Starry Night ink the next time I'm there.

I know exactly what you mean. I was just bitching at my wife tonight about this very thing as we tried to get through all the crap to watch Madagascar 2.

Morning everyone. Just stopping in before I head in to get some grading and my own homework done.

Like I said, there isn't much too see. I didn't realize how hard it would be to take a decent picture of my right thumb.

Sounds like something to watch for. I used an ever-ready this morning and was quite happy. I can't believe this thing has been sitting neglected ever since I bought it. I like the weight and the shave quality. The handle is heavier, wider and bit longer than the GEM, all pluses for me (about 8.5 inch hands). So how do the G-bar handles weigh in?

 

OK... I need to get off of this injury trend!

Got to work, started to walk up the ramp, hit a slick patch of ice that I wasn't expecting... it was 50 something yesterday and mid 30's now. I just wasn't expecting it...
Hit my head on the rail, screwed up my knees, and popped my shoulder out of joint. Gee, I guess I should have finished my grading yesterday. At least the shoulder popped back in easily enough and I don't think I have a concussion or anything.

Oh well.. so now waiting on that evil hot plate to get my water boiling for coffee!

First "proper" blade (Astra)... wowzers!

I also got my best batch of lather yet with the Bigelow cream. The blade dragged a bit on the jawline, so I still haven't acheived that elusive "perfect" shave.

 

yep, it is an awesome contraption...Micah talked me into getting one several years ago, I now have one at the office and at home
