Nice shave, Perry! I always admire your beautiful rotation of gear...and software. It was a lot of fun following your journey through the alphabet.

You've had a long week at school! I hope you get some rest this weekend.

Joseph, that's a really classy set up. I have very much enjoyed following you on your straight razor journey.

I'm not sure if this is correct, but it's the best this old hillbilly hipster can do...Julie Andrews played Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady on Broadway and sang I Could Have Danced All Night. The composer was Frederick Loewe, and the lyricist was Alan Jay Lerner. Later, Marni Nixon dubbed the song for Audrey Hepburn in the movie.

I had to get some help from Google on this one, but my Bride and I have enjoyed attending Broadway plays (and all sorts of theater) for years.

    Great shave Keith.

    Very nice setup Robert.

    Beautiful pic Gary.

Good to see you drop in Bruce.

    Thanks Jim.

I started making 2 handles from birdseye maple . Wasnt sure what shapes so I
winged it and came out with 2 very similar. Not bad for a first timer . Havent parted them off yet in case i decide to make changes next time I get at them. I'll post few pics when i get them finished next week.

Awesome Neal. Glad to see you didnt get spooked by it ...or did you?

    Nice setup Jim.

Me too. Was a very good day and her Father is a great teacher. He wanted me to learn hands on and i asked a million questions as i worked . Baptism by fire I'd call it . I'll post pics next week.

I dug out the old dish of Wilkinson I had and gave it a run a while ago. Got a good shave from it .

    Another fine report Joseph.

    Thanks Douglas.

I overslept this morning but at least I got some much needed rest. Since I was out a couple of days visiting Asha, I have been behind all week and even with the extra effort, I didn't manage to catch up. So a quick shave before heading to work. The Alpha T-400 whipped up the MW Vetiver and Oakmoss with little effort. The key with MW is to load the soap like you hate it and then load it some more. Once I start face lathering I add water slowly. When the lather is ready, I then use paint stroke for the final touch. Three passes with the Damaskeene OC left me with a near perfect shave. My lower right neck let the baby escape. I hope everyone has a great Saturday.

Hi all, what a busy, long but productive week.
Everyone but me now on the well list.
I caught the yearlings cold, but now with things done, I have time to rest.
So now on to the importaint stuff.

Only shaved every other day, very abnormal, but that's the only way I could cram every thing into time alloted.
The last two shaves, Monday and Wednesday? or Tuesday and Thursday? can't remember. Those were quick runs that did the job ok during pit stops.

Using my PAA Starling V2-Mod gets the job done well. I can ride the cap like almost no other razor I have. The Atomic Age Bay Rum soap is slick and leaves the face clean and fresh. Doing only one quick pass for speed was easy and left me with a smoothness you have to love from a true frankin razor.

    This morning, still not well,
I took my time and had a wonderful 1 pass full job head and face. I needed it like you need a good shower after a long, gritty, hot work day outside just to feel human again.
    20190223_095732.jpg

Because I can't smell much, stuffed up nose, I pulled out the Stirling Bay Rum. I used the franken razor again for a head and face DFS to say the least. I realy think using a blade only once, is the secret to a close, smooth, wonderful shave. The morning is better than it started out. I have everything ready for Sunday, hope it is better than today.
Almost 900 post since I had time to read them all, wow.
    Everyone
    enjoy
