Thanks Doug. I appreciate it. We met our new neighbors a few days ago. They are really nice folks. They moved here from Minnesota, and I hope they are terribly disappointed in our winters. :)

Just as I set down to take it easy.... work called. The new radio automation that I installed and switched over to Thursday, stopped on air. I logged into it on my phone, was operating the stations remotely... from my phone. Then at 1200 automation took over and was fine. Someone (a student) deleted commands from the 1100 playlist (bad). Didn't have to go anywhere to fix it.:happy088:
    Nice

Thanks Gary. I'm glad your move went well. We are moving about 10 minutes away. We have the time, so we'll move the small stuff at our pace. Our last move (15 minutes in the other direction) included giveaways, our Camry, a borrowed Toyota T100 truck, a U-Haul, and our mover, his buddy, and their big truck.

We're really pleased with the boxes. They are heavy-duty, and they have cardboard liners. They are perfect for fragile items and small enough to make them easy to pack and carry. I need the exercise anyway.

The only "splurge" in our move is hiring a gent for the really big items. He's a strong guy that will bring a strong friend and all the right equipment: big truck with a ramp, straps, pads, sliders, etc. I figure that's wiser than risking a back injury if I try to do it myself.

We had a Ford Escort hatchback when we got married. It became our little truck, according to my Bride. I hauled a bale of straw in it one time, and it took 3 months to clean out the black interior. Hatch backs are super handy.

Beautiful picture, Clint! Those OC Damaskeene razors are just cool. I hope you get caught up on work, but I am sure the extra effort is worth it for the time with Asha.

Very cool, Terry. It sounds like you have a very interesting job. I'd like to hear more about it sometime. I can only imagine how the technology has improved in your field over the past few years.

I have always been interested in radio...especially broadcast, SW, and Ham. It's not quite as "magical" now with the Internet and cell phone communications, but I still like it. I have met some really nice folks through Ham radio and have learned a lot. I've been off the air since we moved to a condo. I donated my HF gear to be used for emergency response relief, and my only equipment now consists of a 70 cm/2 m/6 m handheld tribander. One day, I might get back on the air at the new place.

My bride and I don't plan to let our licenses expire. In the 90's, she earned her Technician license, and I went all the way to Extra. At the time, that meant I had to pass a 20 word per minute Morse Code test. :scared011: If I could copy 3 wpm now, I would be surprised. The gent that taught me code could send and receive at 5o wpm. It begins to sound almost like music at that speed. He operated HF mobile and kept his keyer in the console next to the driver's seat. :shocked003: Fun times.

When it comes to sports, I much prefer listening on radio than watching on TV. These days on TV, the games interfere with the broadcasters' "stories" or analyses of things PERTAINING to the game. Hey fellas. don't forget the game itself!
