A nice shave this morning. Two passes for a close and comfortable result. First shave since Thursday.

Combining the drying nature of Arko (which I enjoy after fried chicken) and the moisturizing of Tabac (that I like during low humidity weather) sounds like the best of both worlds. I'm going to give that a shot! Does it foam up like a baking soda & vinegar school project volcano?

Get it wet and use it. It's a slow process but the bar will change shape over a period of time. Don't know about using an abrasive while it's dry. The blocks are brittle and subject to shattering if dropped.

With the cost of spider eggs, I thought they quit using them in food and cosmetics products.

Razor: English Flat Bottom Trek Tech
    Blade: Dorco STD-301 (2)
    Brush: VdH Boar
    Soap: Stirling Naked And Smooth
    Post: Alum, Listerine

For today's shave, I have swapped the post-War baseplate from yesterday with a long-slot British Flat Bottom Tech baseplate. This particular Tech is somewhat more aggressive than a typical one and I am still getting used to it. For the most part the shave went well until a momentary slip caught a bump on my jawline and drew blood. This was one of those ones where you know as soon as it happens. Other than that, however, a near-enough BBS with no irritation.

Thanks. Consistency is very important as well as watching what you eat. If I go a little overboard on one meal, then I go light on the next one. I also eat plenty of fruits and veggies so that I do not have sugar cravings. Once in a while, I will have something decadent. If you need any advice just pm me.

Sometimes a drop or two of blood is a small price to pay. Nice shave John!

The razor looks fantastic! Sorry to hear about your computer...is that Arko I see in the picture with the Tabac? That seems to be a trend today...
Combining Arko and Tabac? Are you single, Nirav? If not, you may soon be...
Glad the stuff arrived in a timely fashion! I am looking forward to your thoughts on the Injectomatic as you use it more, Perry. At first it was the 'meatgrinder' for me, and I found I got it dialed in eventually with almost 'negative' pressure if that makes sense. Also curious as to your thoughts on that Tuxedo knot. It is a different performer, that's for sure.
62 lbs! That is absolutely amazing, Charlie! Congrats, friend.
Beautiful pic, Clint. I often lament my early decision to bin my AOS Sandalwood cream. Not even sure why I did it, tbh, I do know I was just starting this journey, though.
The Gem looks to be in phenomenal shape, Danny. A very unique, cool combo.
Happy birthday to your daughter, Jim! Have a great time with your family tonight.

More soap is always the answer, Jim, regardless of what the question is!
Glad to hear you got some resolution, Joseph. Especially as you enjoy the scent so much. A great pic and write up as always, of course.
A different looking combo for you this morning, Andrew. I'm curious about that brush- you have so many high end brushes, but the Satin Tip still makes a regular appearance. It obviously has some significance for you.
Coolest razor of the week on here, John! You are the Tech King.

While it was very clear yesterday, that usually comes with colder temperatures, especially first thing in the morning.

Thanks, Jason! The tuxedo knot didn't want to splay much at all when face lathering. I worked up a wonderful lather in the dish so I was able to paint on easily and had wonderful lather. But that knot seems pretty stiff. The Injectomatic is definitely interesting. So lightweight but is an efficient machine.
