I repeated my Monday shave this morning, switching to the Stoylin "li'l brudder" brush. It's nice to see the Jeeves Bay Rum soap beginning to show some "wear and tear"(I use that phrase in a positive way).

Great shave Joe....hard to beat the Rockwells. They are just good dependable shavers.

Patrick...he probably says they are for salsa. I tried face lathering once but my face is just to pretty and smooth to build up a lather.:signs136: I just like to bowl lather.

    48th focus shave

I enjoyed a fantastic two-passer this morning. The Parker SRX could be an everyday shaver for me. It's fun to use, and the shaves are comparable to using a DE razor. Likewise, the shaves can proceed in about the same amount of time once you get the hang of it; however, I often slow down with the shavette and enjoy the shave more. I echo @Bama Samurai's counter-intuitive observation that one can get a gentle shave with a shavette once good technique is developed. A side benefit is that it provides the confidence and ability necessary to shave well with pretty much any blade and blade holder.

I'm on track to reach 50 focus shaves and hopefully finish up my Soap Commander by month's end. I must say that this soap has been a very good performer and is a tremendous value. As an added bonus, and if you purchase it within the next 24 hours, it is @Primotenore-certified granule free. :) If anyone is on the fence about trying the shavette, my focus should absolutely convince you to grab an SRX for $30 and give it a try. I'm not the most coordinated guy in the world. If I can do it, I suspect you can do as well, if not better. :)

    Enjoy your day, my friends.
