Wonderful photo, Joseph! I always shake my aftershaves and balms, particularly the Stirling balm. It needs it as you mentioned.

I didn't think Cracker Barrel served clams, but maybe it's a new menu item. :pot:

I had a pretty rough night with a lot of abdominal pain. I have been under a good deal of stress which really does not help my colon issues. The CH2 synthetic literally ate through the soap and whipped up a rich slick lather. The trick was pushing down while loading the brush. I intended to use the Karve for the shave but started feeling dizzy so I went with the Feather Cartridge Razor. I finished the shave and have gotten dressed for work. A quick check of my blood pressure explains the dizziness. My blood pressure usually goes up with the pain but not to these levels. I am going to chill out here at home for a while before going into work. I hope everyone has a great day.

That's a nice comparison, Jim, and you do have a nice rotation of bay rums. Do you consider your Small Batch Shave Tonic a bay rum, and if so, how would you rank it? It's certainly not as bold or traditional as many others.

    February 27 SOTD:

    Razor: Gillette Fatboy
    Blade: Gillette Nacet
    Brush: Razorock 400
    Lather: Stirling Green
    Aftershave: Stirling Green
    Additional Care:
    Stirling Unscented PSB

This is my last Stirling shave of my mini focus, and it was great. Two passes and a near BBS, just a spot or two on my neck keeps me from calling it. The Fatboy has been a great razor this month, and I am looking forward to my final shave this month tomorrow. I hope everyone has a great day!

Praying for your relief this morning, Clint. It sounds like you need to stay home, get some rest, and possibly visit the doc if you continue to feel that bad.

Thanks, Charlie. I do consider the Small Batch Shave Tonic a bay rum. I was going through the soaps. I love the scent of the bourbon and vanilla I just wish it lasted longer.

Ooops...that's right, the discussion was about soaps. More coffee, please. :D I automatically associate Bay Rum with after shaves. I agree with your assessment of the Shave Tonic. I may eventually add another bottle to my rotation. Thanks, Jim, and have a great day, my friend.
