SOTD February 27th Stirling Mentholated Pre-Shave Soap EDRIO #30 Ever-Ready 1924 Gem SS PTFE (7) Epsilon White Horse (26mm, Frigate Class) Stirling Mountain Man soap(5 drops of M-Bomb) and AS TSD M-Bomb (menthol additive) Stirling Glacial Unscented PSB Today's shave was everything that yesterdays was not. Smooth sharp blade in the 1924. Beautiful slick lather that didn't dry out, and thanks to the M-Bomb was icy cold! Amazing smelling Mountain Man soap and AS. Paul @Paul Turner I know you have an aversion to Mountain Man because you read somewhere the fragrance that it is based on was labeled unisex. Well I can assure you that it is quite masculine and smells amazing! 5 drops of M-Bomb had my lather feeling pretty cold. Dont know if it was glacial cold but it had some strong cooling going on! I finished with some Glacial Unscented PSB followed by a spray of the Mountain Man AS. My face feels great and smelling good too! Have a great day everyone! Hump Day!!!
Joe at IB is ever tight lipped about who actually makes the RR soaps. Considering that TFS released their own line of triple milled soaps in similar style packaging shortly after the release of the WTP line makes for a pretty strong circumstantial argument. Fantastic photo Doug!!Now go inside and get warm with the other kind of Wild Turkey!
Sure could. Doesn't have to be an Officially Sanctioned TSD Event. More along the lines of a "What happens in the 30 DC, stays in the 30 DC" thing. Plenty of quiet PIFing happens in here already. Let's brainstorm it, throw it up against the proverbial wall and see what sticks. We could run it up a flag pole and take shots at it, too. By end of March if anyone has some extra gear they want to donate it could be hyped in April's opening statement? I'd suggest it be a prize for Newbies that have pulled off a Rule as an enticement to stick to it. Can you imagine the razor/blade stash/soap & brush prize packs that could be pulled out of our collective bottom drawers and cabinets?
Thank you, gentlemen! You're right, Neal. A cold snap is headed our way. Generally, though, we're now getting more mild days than cold. I'll take that as a good sign. We've had a ton of rain and cold weather, but thankfully we've been light on snow and ice this year. Fantastic shave and a wonderful focus, Doug. Marines don't quit. That's for sure.
Great shave report Robert. I never get tired of seeing that gorgeous table. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Up the flagpole it goes! Anyone have any comments ideas let's hear them! I do like the "finish a Rule" qualification. And as far as what kind of prize packs this group could put together? We'd put Maggard's out of business!
Swati is on my case already. I’ll see about making an appointment with the doctor soon. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
