  4. Congrats, Jim! It's been fun with you here.
  5. Really nice photo, Jason! You've pretty much convinced me to try Gentleman. We like a lot of the same scents so maybe Gentleman will be another common interest between us. I'll be getting out the Maximo Gomez sample soon.
  6. Thanks, Jason!
  7. Thank you, Jim! Nice of you to say!

  8. Thank you Jason and beautiful shave to end the month! I've never actually smelled Drakkar Noir, but the Stirling Noir is pretty nice!
  9. Thanks Jason!
  10. Knock 'em dead, Andrew!

I could see a commute like that getting really old, really fast. And expensive!

  11. Day 55.

3.5 passes with the Ralf Aust only today. The result is passable, but just not quite what I'm used to. I think I will stick to using the safety razor "training wheels" a little longer.

This month, like last month and next month, my primary focus was the straight razor. I got one or two learning experiences out of the way, with no ER visits. And results with the straights continue to improve incrementally. So far so good.
  12. The first of many, Jim!
  13. Nice shave, Robert!
  14. My last shave of the month was unfortunately not the best. In fact, in terms of closeness, it was the worst. My beard does not grow that fast, but just a few hours after shaving it felt like I'd barely touched it, which I suppose is true, though not by intention.

I was very careful today to apply no pressure, etc... in hopes of eliminating the irritation on one spot on my neck I usually get. Well, I accomplished that, but ended up taking very little beard off.

I'm not discouraged though. I know my angle, especially on the S to N strokes on my neck, is terrible. I think I usually make up for that with my N to S pass, but obviously didn't today. Still practicing.

  15. My guess is the Vector shaves better than the newer Cobra razors. Check out some of the reviews on the recent releases.

OK...OK...you're right after all. What was I thinking? A kerosene splash after a good shave would be the best choice. :happy102:
  19. Thank you Jason. The last time I used the cartridge was on the trip with Asha to Tempe last April.
