Hey Luke. I'm Charlie, and I'm glad you're here with us in the 30 Day Crew! Stick around, and the names will come easy. Many of us have added our names to our signature block as well.
Well, the final shave of February didn't happen at all. I was up at 4:30am this morning and didn't have the time, nor the wherewithal to make it happen. February was a terrific month of great shaves, great posts, welcoming new members and all-around frivolity. The month passed too fast. (as do they all these days) Bring on March! See you in the funny papers.
Good evening guys! I just finished my shave about an hour ago. I said that I was going to end this month with a bang and I am delivering my promise! Today, I just received from Ebay my vintage 8/8 Freidr. Herder Square Point. In keeping with my "firsts" them, it is the first time that I used it and it is the first time that I crossed the 8/8 threshold on a straight. I lathered my face with Stirling Bay room with my Semogue OC Badger. I did 3 passes including the "fool's pass" underneath my nose. I got the best straight shave ever in my 42 traditional straight razor shave history! BBS without any nicks, scratches, cuts and irritation. Finished with Stirling Bay Rum AS. In the shaving world, I have reached the summit of Mt. Everest! Result 99 = A+
hello luke , my name is jim. but i was renamed charlie after a brain lapse..now i am ok , so please call my bob. thanks gary..
Awesome photo and colors, Jason, and what a great way to finish the month. You have used some really cool razors during February, and your brushes ain't bad, either. I have enjoyed following your shaving exploits!
Nice razor, Joe. Glad you are making such terrific progress. The Dark Side is kind of nice, isn't it?
Thank you Charlie. I managed to get some rest. I’m still feeling dizzy at times. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Joseph, it is the best! I can safely say that I can shave with any straight razor, regardless of width or point. I thank you and everyone on the board who have encouraged me on this wonderful ride. You are also doing very well in your young traditional straight razor shaving history. In fact, you are ahead of me as far as honing! Joseph, you are a star pupil to this art of shaving as well. Have a good evening!
Try to watch your angle of attack with the razor. If this is off, the razors don't always work very efficiently.
Happy Anniversary, Jim! I could not imagine the 30DC without you! It's hard to believe, but it will be five years for me in September.
Thanks so much, Charlie! In five years I hope to have finished a tub of soap by then. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
