I am not a big Fougere fan, but I am a B&M fan (usually). Not sure what this means for whether or not I’d like Beaudelaire. Thankfully, I’m not in acquiring mode right now, so it’s not urgent to find the answer.

 

I don’t have issues with very many products either, Danny. I love Stirling products, but ironically, the only soaps that have ever bothered me are both Stirlings- SDM and The Lounge. The other 7 or 8 Stirling’s I’ve tried? Zero problems.

Perry- I didn’t know I was getting the old bottle. I ordered the splash on a 45% off close out and it was the older bottle that was sent. Interestingly, Arkadia also came on the same deal and order, but came in the brand new Stirling bottle, which happens to be the same bottle (different colour cap) as the old Fine bottles.

You're right that the new clear Stirling bottles look to be the old Fine bottles. Interesting! The caps on the new bottles aren't as sturdy and they're a smooth polymer as opposed to the textured polymer of the old bottles.

I've been on record that the older formula is better, but I must clarify my opinion on that stems from the American Blend scent only. I don't know if the other scents are different from each iteration.

 

Great shave and photo Jason. I agree the AC blades do cut you. I know from first hand experience.

Van Yulay Smoking Hot Pineapple soap and AS
Stirling Glacial Unscented PSB

Wonderful shave this morning to finish off my EDRIO Gem style theme week. Smoking Hot Pineapple is the antithesis to Stirling's Iced Pineapple. It smells like fresh grilled Pineapple with a hint of smoke. Performance was great, lovely slick lather. I don't why Van Yulay isn't talked about more, they have tons of scent options and great performance. Finished with Stirling Glacial Unscented PSB and then the Smoking Hot Pineapple splash. Have a great weekend my friends!

Great shave, that pineapple scent sounds terrific. You're right that Van Yulay doesn't get much press on TSD. I'd like to try their La Rive scent to see how it compares to American Blend.

 

You son is having as much fun as you are with your shaving toys.
