Man, y'all are pumping out the content. Not that I'm wishing any ill fortune on TSD, but if Joanna ever decided to close the doors we'd have the start of another forum just doing 30DC business. And since I caught up on hard & soft ware discussion and welcoming new Crew, there comes the Social portion of my visit before getting back to RL stuff.
(Note to Paul @Paul Turner "CT" is a custom title :happy088:)
And most are richly deserved. If you're lucky, they serve as a gentle reminder to think twice before hitting send. ;)
I haven't seen it happen, but apparently if the first one wasn't good enough, it can be changed to something even more appropriate!
Watch out John, he's on your scent now.
Bloodhound.jpg Next thing you know you'll wonder...

Constant change is here to stay. Hope it all works out for you Brian. Gird your loins, cover your tracks, and be indispensable!

I'm forced to call you on this, John. Bones used an anabolic protoplaser. As you can clearly see, it has done a very nice job removing the Ensign's chest hair.

Pro tip: Engage 30 DC members in silly, non-shave related conversation. Statistics clearly show that 1.0687% of responses will contain CT worthy material. Odds are a little better on Friday afternoons.

That's what I'm using. No compartments yet. The plan is to grab some balsa and felt at Hobby Lobby and fix up the innards.

I have plenty to send you. It just requires some stunt shaving during the month of May. OK, I could probably send you some without the stunt shaving, but I’m really trying to goad you into doing something stupid with a razor during MAYhem, regardless. Anyway, you know where to find me if you run short on soap.

There are some really cool razor holders on Etsy, although most of them are DE-based. I emailed a few artisans to see if they would modify them for straights, and they said they would, however I’m saving this for a hobby project when I need to be distracted. In the meantime, post a picture of your CVS custom holder. I may have to use one until I get the power tools cranked up.

No worries, this band of thugs could step in and take over another forum at any time, just as long as it isn’t the rat forum. It’s already run by the mob. I’m pretty sure, however, the takeover might be about as intimidating as the gang on weird Al Yankovic’s “eat it” video.

As much as I agree with your impeccable historical research on this one, Charlie, you’ve overlooked the fact that Bones’ may occasionally want to “kick it old school”. If he did so I’m pretty sure a Tech with the Starship Enterprise laser etched on it would be his weapon of choice. There are also rumors that he used set instrument for some man scape being, although this cannot be confirmed in photos as the reflection off of the shiny shave brush he uses are too distorted.

    Deep thoughts by MISTER Fancypants:

I found the most significant benefit of receiving a CT is that you don’t have to think nearly as much about the implications of being quoted on what you post. Up to this point for a very long time I have had to think about anything I posted, considering “could this end up as a CT?” Even using the term MISTER Fancypants was a calculated risk, but one that was a whole lot better than posting a picture of a male unicorn stripper with pink glittery outfit like @PickledNorthern, for whatever that’s worth. Anyway, I will now be more free to say stupid stuff. The gloves are off now, fellas!

In related news, I really miss seeing Jared’s posts. I miss that dude! I hope he is well. Anybody have his email address or other way to contact him?

I miss Jared's posts as well. Ironically, it shows that he was active on here (TSD in general) last Saturday, but did not post. I take that as good news that he is ok.

I agree, I miss Jared on here. I sent him a card via snail mail a little before Christmas, and gave him my email and phone number, but I never heard back. I don't have his email. Glad he was active on TSD recently. Wish he would pop in and say hello.

Did a transplant today. Removed the shedding TGN boar knot from my Switchback and installed the freshly liberated 10098 Omega knot.[IMG][IMG]

Thanks Randy. I appreciate the offer. I'm fairly certain I could shave the next couple of years with my current stock. I do plan to add a Tabac puck and some Mike's soaps before year-end.

I haven't touched a SR in too long, but the box does well to hold them safely. Don't forget to dehumidify it because they tend to be at 70% or so. Doing a custom divider should serve well. Post photos during or after the project is done!

Enjoy that adrenaline let down Randy.
I've noted that, too. He's checking in but not posting.
Maybe his work out on the frozen tundra has him in mittens so it's difficult to type?

Nice! I looked for a while trying to find a OEM style flat top boar knot for my R-400 type. The Omega Pro 98 is close and works very well.
