Thank you, Joe. Maybe so, but I'm still figuring it out as I go here.

I got news for you. I think Lynn Abrams, with 30+ years SR shaving experience, probably would admit that he can still learn a thing or two about straights. He always said, that SR shaving should be fun and enjoyable. That is the attitude that I have when I am straight shaving.

Great description, Bruce. The soap sounds like a winner for sure.

Y'all been taking your crazy pills? I caught up with myself and there's another 127 more posts. Keep em coming!
Good question. I was hoping Randy could settle into his Fancy Pants before something else happened. At the rate of discussion Charlie just might be due next. Think there's any danger? ;)
Well it is Party Time here on the Gulf Coast! Lesse bon ton roulett! The preplanned debauchery ends on Tuesday night just in time for Lent. Imagine that.

Nice choice, I feel an inspired shave coming on. Welcome to the 30 Day Crew Matthew!
    I had the same question. But then I read this;
Ahh, disaster averted. He's young, but not a Shave Newbie.
I might need to shift some 401K funds from domestic shipping into worldwide shipping. The Enablers may be going International?

Please don't shoot me! I am a teacher and like to make things right. The correct French spelling and wording of the English phrase, "Let the good times roll!" is Laissez les bons temps rouler. At first, I realized it is French Creole, so I looked it up to make sure that I got it right. I have to thank my high school 3rd yr French teacher Mr. O'Donnell for instilling in me a love for the French language. I am not fluent by any stretch, but can read the text for understanding.

I'll be looking for that discussion! I've used many wood working tool, but never a lathe. Missed my shot at buying the floor model when Harbor Freight discontinued their table top model. Only seen one in a pawn shop so far. I'm sure I could rig up a machine from stuff laying around except for the chuck.

No harm, no foul? I missed out on the Cajun / Creole as a kid. One of my grandparents spoke it, but I grew up in Chicago. Though I'm in my home town everyone hears my radio announcer voice and knows I'm a transplant. Not. I can't pronounce half the family names or street signs correctly if I try to read them. Could have taken French class in school, but Spanish made more sense at the time.

Thanks for the well wishes! Dad's a retired Registered Nurse, Army Medic & Battalion Aid Station commander, & Chemical Engineer. I doubt there's anything about dialysis he doesn't understand. With mom helping out (she's a Licensed Practical Nurse, retired) They've got the science and health care covered. Knowing that Mother Nature doesn't need us after we're passed child bearing age they are enjoying their Golden years. I've noticed dad loosing the spring in his step over the last couple years and I'm hoping this will help him regain some energy and pep. Ultimately it's his choice to get with the program of life extension procedures.

We skipped the parades today. Wet weather moving through with a cold front bringing sunny but crisp temps for several days to come. No snow to shovel here and if we do more outdoor jumping jacks everyone will dress in layers for easy clothing adjustments as needed.

    March Inspired Shave

    Godrej Shaving Round
    SP→2 V.Sheng Black badger
    Suribachi bowl, cool water
    Fatip Piccolo, Personna Red
    Clubman Reserve Whiskey Woods
SOTD 03032019.gif I might just make this Inspired Shave Month. Newest 30DC member Matthew @matthewoli98 helped my choose my setup though I don't have an exact match software wise. Love the scrubby scritch from the brush and it loaded easily from the small soap puck. It has a light scent I've read described as "chalky lavender". Good slick lather that doesn't dissipate, plenty slick, and a hard puck? I'm in! Lost count of uses of the blade so I'll let it tell me when it's done but I got an error free reduction on a 48 hour beard. Chose the Clubman for a mellow scent that didn't conflict with the soap. A short duration aftershave might be a selling feature, but it's not the Pinaud product strength of the regular cologne line.
    Good Shaves Y'all!

    Beautiful SOTD:
That Godrej lime is so easy to get a consistent shave with, you get the same lather consistency every single time as long as you use the same amount of cream and as long as your brush isnt too wet.

    Razor: fatip piccolo
Blade: gillette 7 o clock sharp edge (7)
    Cream: Godrej lime
    Aftershave: Brut by faberge

Below are some pictures showing how little Godrej lime you can use and still get a perfect 3 pass shave.[IMG][IMG][IMG]

Thanks Matthew! I haven't written off creams though I prefer hard puck soaps. Assuming the Godrej cream is made from a similar soap base it's probably great! Being lime scented I'm tempted. I do enjoy a citrus scented shave. It's certainly among the bargain priced products that can offer great shaves at less than premium prices.

Its pretty good! I prefer soaps too, but sometimes when im in a rush i reach for the creams. I did a review under the double edge section on a local South African blade, i dont think its ever been mentioned on this forum.
