Blair, good write-up on your comparison between the Gillette adjustables and the Merkur.

3rd day with the Blackhawk focus. Got a nice lather with the Valobra and had 3 uneventful passes. This brush is starting to break in and everything performed well. The soap is a good performer, with a pleasant, if not memorable scent. I was a little less ham-handed today and was rewarded with way less irritation. The splash goes nicely with the soap, and I realized I like this splash more when it doesn’t have to follow SV.
    Have a great day, all!

I guess this soap has our back(Arbac). Wait! Shouldn't it be Arbac should only have our faces and heads. MMM!

Thank you Jim. The drive was uneventful but bumper to bumper which is par for the course.

Cool photo. Nice balancing act with the Blackhawk. That's one modern razor I do want to try.

Glad to hear you are ok, Chris. I didn’t realize you were that close to the storms.
Sounds like a good shave to start the day.

A very cool ‘Rick Pic’ with some original gear. I find myself amassing hard pucks as well, it seems.
Great pic of some great gear, Jim. Yup, cold here too. -23Celcius, pretty much the same as you. It is March. This is ridiculous.
Very nice, Perry. Are you planning to add more passes with the Razorine?
Nice effect, Jim. Is the razor still dragging a bit, or did you get that worked out?
Excellent as always, Clint. Is that the Delta Echo Short Comb? Looks great on that handle.
Welcome! Yup, love the Baker Street. A very nice combo there.

It has only been 3 days, Chris, but I am enjoying it. I’ve been wanting an Artist Club Safety razor for a bit, and I’m happy with this one. One caveat- it is very light, fyi.

Thanks, Joe! I’m enjoying the trial run but don’t see myself buying a Razorine.

Thanks, Jason! I’d like to add some XTG action on my jaw line. Maybe next time when I use it on Wednesday.

You can get a different handle that’s heavier to help with the weight.
