I don't know that I could go for Iced Barber Shop(pe) aftershave or soap. How much does the "ici-ness" take away from the barbershop scent(if at all)?

It's just menthol, Paul. Doesn't detract from the scent one bit in my opinion.

 

I had a wonderful face and head shave this morning, I haven't used used a Single Edge razor in some time, the only blades I had were Feather Super Pro, and those are wayyyy too much for me.

The Hawk w/Feather Pro guard gave me a very close shave, I almost think I can go a couple of days before I'll need to shave again.

What a difference between the regular Personna and the Personna 74 blades! The regular Personna is good but the 74 is miles better to me. Wish I had more of them. Oh, the shave turned out just fine. Now go enjoy your day folks.

 

It is akin to hoppes #9 solvent. But only in a faded way. What I mean is, it is what a room smells like after you have cleaned guns the morning and the smell is still lingering.
I don't get much gunpowder or leather, but more just of a solvent. The leather comes in after a few hours.
I like the soap as well, but the soap does smell more like leather and faded gunpowder.
I do get the scent profile that was trying to be achieved, but I myself would like to have more of a gun leather/saddle/horse tack kind of scent, but this one is close enough that I enjoy it.
As far as longevity it is classed as an aftershave/cologne so it lasts much longer than a regular AS would.
