Ever thought about a Blue Tip?

I thought it was a great shaver, I'm just not a big SS fan. I like TTOs with a little more heft to them. Three pieces are OK lighter.

Point of fact, I was not wearing a Batman suit, it was Superman... I mean, what?

Wow, for all that wind we got, I'm surprised there wasn't more apparent damage... I guess the last big storm knocked all the loose stuff down already.

Yay wickiup! I'm glad to hear it. That would have sucked, especially after all that work we put into the walls. Not to mention bricking the floor.

And on a sad note, I've got to go to a funeral today--for a baby. :( Our preacher and his wife lost their baby. He was a surprise, and was born with a heart defect. Within 3 days of being born, he had to have heart surgery to replace a valve. He was looking forward to at least 3 more such surgeries throughout his life... He came through alright and they were trying to get him to take to a bottle. I think he actually did finally drink from a bottle, so they were looking forward to bringing him home, when he got an infection in his intestines. They had to do emergency surgery, but he didn't make it. :(

Any of you lot ever been to a baby funeral? I don't know quite what to expect, other than a lot of crying.

Thanks for that downer. :( Now I can't wait to get home to hug and kiss my girls. Well, moreso than usual, now...

Can't help you, never been to one. But I would expect a flood of overwhelming grief...

    Good luck.

Yeah, it's really awful. I know they spent the better part of this last year preparing for baby. They knew that they were going to have to make special concessions because of his heart defect, and they studied up on it. They really prepared for it. I know this sounds callous, but it's not supposed to be, I just don't know a better way of saying it... What makes it so bad is, that now all they've got to show for all this trouble is an enormous hospital bill, a room full of baby furniture, and a great deal of heartache. The whole situation just sucks, and it's hard to accept. Ya know?

I can't even fathom the amount of heartache. I don't think what you said was callous, facts are facts. I bet they would do it all over again, and don't even fret the hospital bill...

it kind a split right around us...we did get some tough wind, and a pretty decent downpour, but the worst part was gone in about 5 minutes
good luck, good to hear from you, let us know what you got
baby funerals, and I'm using a technical term here, SUCK
not just for the fact it's a funeral, not just for the fact that it's a baby, and I'm not trying to sound callous (although it might, as opposed to Micah's statement), but mainly for the, dare I say, over emotionalism, the good kind of emotionalism, the hopes and dreams of the parents, grandparents, other family and close friends, but just overall very much it sucks. You realize that the frailty of life has no boundaries, every person born is susceptible to it at any age. It just seems so tragic when the person never even seems to have a chance. That realization is very present in the service, and it really gets to you.
However, I am fully convinced as ever that:
    -God is soveriegn
    -God is in control
-God knows what He's doing, even when it doesn't make sense
For whatever reason God allowed this to happen, I know over time He will reveal His plan and Will in it to the parents, and will provide the peace needed to make it through such a difficult time...if you talk to the parents, you can let them know that someone they don't even know is praying for them

We don't always understand or know what He may be preparing us for, but you and I both know He knows what He's doing

    Morning, all.

Micah... that just sounds awful. I've never been to a baby funeral and can't imagine how difficult the situation must be.

hahah actually it may be. I don't know what it was from, but my doctor said that a lot of it has been going around because tons of snacks have been effected by that peanut butter thing.

    Morning Shawn and Rodd.

Went with some TSD Egyptian Spice Soap and JMF Oriental Spice super lather this morning. It smelled out of this world when it was combined.

Hi all. Having a good day so far. The kids are making posters about the presidents. Some are pretty good. One student just asked me if she can put down that George W. was the worst president ever for one of their 'facts'.

Amazing what kids will pick up from their parents.

I have been into the superlather lately. I find certain things better with soaps and other things better with creams. So I just combine and get the best of both worlds. Plus I don't think I am going to run short of creams or soaps anytime soon. I really like this Egyptian Spice soap of JoAnnas, smells freaking awesome.
