Better than work, but if I miss a day on the thread I don’t have the hassle of trying to catch up from everything I’ve missed at work...ok, never mind.

I'd say that there are about as many definitions as there are forum users.

For me, it's about how the razor acts when the angle is off. Every razor has its ideal angle where it is most effective. At its ideal angle, a razor is neither mild nor aggressive. Stray from the ideal angle, and a so-called mild razor, like a tech, simply won't cut whiskers very well. Other razors will scrape, tug, nick, while continuing to cut whiskers.

In my mind more aggressive razors are also efficient razors. But that's just my definition and categorization. I tend toward milder razors and blades to begin with. That's why injectors have worked so well for me.

Thanks, Andrew! I have three myself, and there are a couple more I would like someday.

Interesting question, Jim. There have been lots of very good answers to your question, all with merit. I think my opinion would mirror much of what Clint has said. To me, aggression is absolutely how much care I have to take to not get cut. Efficiency is more about the quality of the that aggression. If I take the PAL Injectomatic for example, the skill in using it -the TTT factor if you will- is in not getting cut. Using negative pressure is a way to tame the razor, not necessarily to improve the quality of the shave’s efficiency. When I learned to use the CJB Shavette, it was ‘aggressive’ because I cut myself quite badly a few times. That didn’t mean the quality of shave was any better than I get from a NEW LC- hence the aggressiveness didn’t mean it was more efficient than other razor types.
I think there is a tighter link in terms of not being aggressive and not being efficient. A Flare Tip or some Techs are not aggressive by this definition as there is a very low chance of cutting myself. They are also razors that are not delivering super smooth shaves in less passes than some others.
Everything will cut and deliver (minus the Sayuri) a good shave, it is just a matter of what technique is necessary and how much work is needed to get it there.

Thanks, guys, for the kind words.
For me, it's hard to deny the physics of the shave. Aside from the silly comments I made, that's actually how I think of it. After that, it's about the familiarity with the set up you're using and technique. I can't play golf...Give me a $10,000 set of clubs, and a skilled golfer could beat me with a set of kid's clubs. I've enjoyed reading all the comments. Thanks for posing the question, Jim.
Thank you, Joseph. We thoroughly enjoyed it (it was high energy and quite funny), and it was extra special for us knowing you once sang in the very same play.

Razor: Supply SE w/ Schick (@ram57)
    Blade: Schick (2)
Brush: DFS LE Nathan Clark Envy White Knot Handle Aluminum Color, Anodized Dark Bronze. #41/150.
    Soap: Lisa's Natural Herbal Creations
    A/S: Myrsol F/Extra
    Bowl: Suribachi

Outstanding shave with this setup. I'm loving this brush from DFS. The Envy White knot is probable the best Badger knot I own. The Supply SE worked like a charm to provide an excellent close comfortable shave. I didn't get out for a photo today so I'll use my last shot. I don't think I have done this before.

Very cool pic, Rick. Glad to hear everyone enjoyed the festivities.
They may all be the same pic, Jim, but they are all cool.
That double ring will look stunning replated, Terry. Who are you going to use?
Sounds like a great shave, Perry. That little Beehive is a nice looking brush as well.
Mothballs! Yup, time to move it on.
Congrats on moving the SC so soon, Clint. Is your new one in yet?
A very good review of the soap, thanks for posting it!
Hump Day! Declan looks happy as always, Andrew. The Empire scent sounds like a winner as well. I trust this afternoon will go well.
Best ever two pass shave, Charlie? Fantastic work.
Do you have many scents that burn you a bit, Robert. I’ve had a few and have had no qualms about moving them along.

Fantastic shave, Doug. Mark and Clint steered me toward the same knot for my 400 handle, and I really like too. Stay warm!

Thank you, Jason. I've done better with my NEW LC (favorite overall DE), but I can't remember doing any better with two passes using a shavette. Sometimes things just fall together, and today was one of those days.
