Thank you Charlie. I am feeling much better. The blood pressure is well under control and the weight is coming off. Now if my elbow will completely heal, I will be in very good shape.

The L'Occitane Cade soap and balm were Christmas gifts from my wife. I am really impressed with the soap. I have found it easy to lather with a very pleasant scent. I can't really describe the scent but I do know I like it. Three passes and touch ups left me with the baby in hand. A splash of mentholated witch hazel followed by the Cade balm and the Guerlain Vetiver EdT left me clean shaven and smelling fantastic. I hope everyone has a great Thursday.

It was quite nice, 75/25 bay rum to electric sheep, the bayrum overpowered the eucalyptus and made the lemongrass smell more like lemon. It aas nice.

    March 7 SOTD:

    Razor: PAA Starling V2
    Blade: Gem Stainless
    Brush: Ever-Ready 150
    Lather: Speick Shave Stick
Aftershave: Chatillon Lux Gratiot League Square
    Additional Care:
    Stirling Unscented PSB

This was my best shave yet with the Starling. This razor definitely requires a light touch, and I think the light razor makes me want to press a bit. A little steeper angle than normal for a SE, but it does give a nice shave once you have it all figured out. I still get a little dragging, but still a nice shave. Two passes for a DFS. A little CL Gratiot League Square, and my day was off to a great start. I hope everyone has a great day!

    March 7th
    Razor: ATT S1
    Blade: Astra SP (1)
    Brush: Switchback/Omega boar
    Pre-shave: Stirling Mentholated
    Soap: B&M Reserve Spice
    Lucky Tiger face tonic
    PAA Star Jelly unscented
    AS: B&M Reserve Spice

    Good morning!

Wonderful shave to start the day! Two pass with touch up, near BBS. Still no report from the alum.

I'm guilty of proclaiming BBS when not quite there. The hollows of my neck where the hair grows flat and the skin is bumpy consistently has slight stubble remaining. Nothing visible but it is there.

The hairs on the Omega knot are starting to split and the animal smell is nearly gone. I'm really enjoying this brush/handle combination.

    Have a great day![IMG]

Thank you, Terry! I may consider following suit on it. I have decided. I am going to try to get through this month with the razor as is to see how I adjust to it.

Thank you Perry! I received this one in a PIF couple years ago before I joined TSD. It's definitely quality gear. When I lived in Atlanta I knew where Ikea was, drove passed it often, but never visited. Ought to next time I'm there.
Thank you Clint! Old School is Cool.
Ahh, you sent me on a quest! Cade is a plant that grows around the Mediterranean from sea level to one mile altitude. Also called spiky juniper, the essential oil is drawn from the wood and smells of ancient campfires. If you like the scent of the soap you can get the straight up oil that can be used in room fresheners, or applied directly to skin.
