Thank you, Primo. And you are right, it is an interesting razor. Different from any other razor I have.

On the B2 Mongoose I could get 14 shaves on the Feather Super Pro.

If you're anything like me, results from bowl lathering are never as good as loading from a full-sized puck then face lathering. I only bowl lather when I use samples, and it seems the consistency is usually too airy, despite my best attempts to keep it dense. Every now and then I luck out. From my experience with a full-sized puck of Noble Otter, the performance is up there with the best of 'em. Easy to lather, great slickness, nice and dense. Hopefully, if you try it again, it'll cooperate with you.

Thanks Charlie! It was like Murphy's Law rearing it's ugly head. The good thing is that my cuts were not severe. I am with the kids this morning and it makes my mishaps bearable!

Thanks Clint! I am still smiling. I knew better than to start shaving immediately. I should have had my breakfast before embarking on my shaving adventure.

Keith, I know this rule and usually follow it. I should've had my breakfast first and then straight shave. I had plenty of time, but for some reason I was rushing for no reason. All in all, it could have been worse. Thanks for the reminder, coach.

    Great shave Aaron!
Great way to transition into a rule, John! Also I'm curious to see how The Fat changes after a month of daily shaving with it!
Glad you proved that it was at least better then Marvy! Will you use it again in the near future to see how it does with a straight up bowl lather ?
    Great shave Rick!
Love the bare brass look of your Sing Ring, Terry!
Wonderful photo, Perry! Do you still have a backup of the Cahaba Blues?
    Excellent photo and shave, Danny!
I'm glad she is doing better, Charlie! Hope you both have a great day!
Very nice! To avoid irritation I only do one pass WTG on my neck.
Ouch, Joe! Tomorrow will be better.
    Beautiful shot, Clint!
    Fantastic photo, Jim!
Excellent shave Jim! Since I only do one pass WTG on my neck I don't judge it when considering the quality of my shave. If I say BBS its on and above the jawline.
Beautiful photo Brian! That razor is pristine!
Great shave Jason, Glad you are feeling a little better.
    Wonderful shot Joseph!

March 7, 2019- Hot Men's New Grooming Tool

Razor: Ming Shi Unscrew 3000s (4)
    Blade: Voskhod (2)
    Brush: VdH Boar
    Soap: Stirling Naked And Smooth
    Post: Alum, Listerine, WH

Today is the maiden voyage of a razor newly arrived from the mysterious Orient, the Ming She Unscrew 3000s. This has to be the strangest name for a razor that I have ever seen; it sounds like something that should drop off the final boss in a dungeon. Nevertheless, it is a inexpensive TTO adjustable razor which seems to be decently made (though one of the doors on mine tends to not want to sit quite flat).

A quick note about the adjustment mechanism. On a Futur, the safety bar is fixed in place and the blade bed and cap raise and lower according to the adjustment setting. On the Unscrew, the blade bed and doors are in a fixed position and the safety bars move according to the setting of the adjustment dial. The settings vary from 1 to 9 (actually, more like 0.5 to 9) with higher numbers having a greater gap. For today's shave, I went with a setting of '4'.

As for the shave... The few comments that I had read about this razor indicated that it was mild and compared it to the Futur clones. I'd say that that was is an apt comparison with '4' still being a mild setting. Personally, I tended to find the angle to be a bit narrow and may have some issues maintaining it at times. I never noticed any issues from the door, however. It also seems a bit head heavy though that may be a matter of personal taste. As razors go, this is a usable one and not a tool of MayHEM.

Overall, I'd say that I got somewhere between a CCS and a DFS, mostly due to some areas not being as close as I'd prefer. I'll bump to '5' for tomorrow's shave. IMG_0436.jpg

Yes I have DE razors, but I like to keep my focus on just using vintage straight razors this month. Funny, I didn't focus on doing my focus shave this mornimg. The cuts were not bad. I placed the rush on myself when it was unnecessary. I should have had breakfast first so that I would have been more awake to prevent this morning's shaving episode.
