    Showered last night but didn't feel like shaving at the time. This morning was a little rough as my prep was not the best. Overall decent shave.

    Prior to the last couple of years, I never shaved on Saturday. In a wedding wearing a tux? Didn’t matter. It was Saturday. No shave day.

    Today, on a whim, for the first time in a long time I decided not to shave. Feels weird. I know it’s totally psychological, but I may have to shave at lunch.

    I like to use the Stirling pre-shave soap when I shave without immediately showering before (which is 90% of the time), The high glycerine content really softens up the whiskers quicly. I usually apply before I start to load my brush and by the time I'm done making my lather my whiskers are well prepped for an easy shave.

    March 8, 2019- Unscrewed!

    Razor: Ming Shi Unscrew 3000s (5)
    Blade: Voskhod (3)
    Brush: VdH Boar
    Soap: Stirling Naked And Smooth
    Post: Alum, Listerine, WH

    It's Friday and we celebrate adjustable razors today with my second shave with the Ming Shi Unscrew 3000s. Part of me wonders if this was originally the 3000ss and they left off the last 's' for 'savings'. :)

    For today's shave, I bumped the adjuster to a setting of '5'. I think that this moves the razor into positive blade exposure and definitely helps with finding the angle and in beard reduction. Personally, I'm pretty happy with this shave. No issues and no irritation. I suspect that one more bump or a blade change would dial this one in pretty well.

    BTW, something that I forgot to mention yesterday... This is a surprisingly loud DE razor. I'm not sensing blade flex so I assume that it is a function of the door shape and/or material.

    I almost always shave pre shower myself. The timing works better with the wife getting ready at the same time. I use the Stirling mentholated pre shave soap too and I feel it makes a difference. I have a PAA Cube waiting in the wings to try out when the Stirling bar is used up which is probably months away.
