I do like the scent. The leather and raspberry are a nice combination and the aftershave has a good menthol kick.

Rare occurrence...no shave today. Got up at 4:30am and when I got home this afternoon, I thought not today. Tomorrow SR #38.

I reverted (retreated) back to my Viking Godfather after last weekend's mortal combat with the Slim. Good shave today.

The most pleasant surprise to me so far in this journey has been how much I like the soaps and creams I've been trying. Really good stuff. Today's was Captain's Choice Venture. I used PAA Al Fin for the aftershave. Just like the other PAA I tried, Old Salty, I liked it much better after 30-60 minutes than when I first applied it. I guess that means I don't favor the "top note"?

I've seen the website info about several scents. Which one did you get? Is the black one hard menthol? I'll be watching for your review and/or impressions.

Glycerin based preshave products make more sense that preshave oils. I've tried both types and found the oil Shave Secret did nothing for me. I do like the incremental added slick of Proraso PPS. Also tried Col Conk Lime glycerin soap as a preshave.

Guess that depends on your feelings about the scent of either ARKO or Tabac. I do like them both and they don't clash when mixed. But then I'm Chosen so what do I know?
Guess I'm not the standard Baywatch demographics. Nothing against slo-mo bikini babes, but Hasselhof without the talking car just didn't entertain. The Rock on the beach is more natural!

Great formatting of your shave report! Text and photos help illustrate the lather quality. Glad our combined 30DC knowledge pointed you in the right direction. Abbreviated reports work fine when doing a Focus or Rule if there's nothing new to discuss, but having discovered important improvements is time to celebrate, get wordy, and include visuals.

    NEWS OF THE WEIRD

If it's physically possible for an average individual to eat an entire package of a product in one sitting, it's my belief they ought to include that in the nutritional labeling. Don't make me do the math on 2-1/2 servings to justify your "low calorie" junk food. If I'm eating Oreos, I might limit myself to just doing one line. But let's face it - cookies are crack!
For Science shouldn't you do a side-by-side comparison? Walmart generics usually fail, but Kroger store brand tend to reach a 95% or better rating when compared to national name brands. I've encouraged my children and now grandkids to shop generic and pay less advertising overhead if the quality is acceptable.

Some of those B&M scents, I wonder what they were thinking. It does sound like she was thinking! Was it just an experiment in creating a scent blend, or was there an intended use for the soap/lotion/BBQ sauce?

Aberrant psychology in a shave forum? Hush your mouth! If all the weird-O's left who would be here? At least you understood the unshaved weirdness and are considering getting back on track. Do you keep an emergency shave kit at work? I assumed Willy Wonka lived at his factory, but you aren't that weird...

    Day 63.

It was a vetiver kind of day today. I managed to scrape a little bit on my lower neck. Not bad, just annoying. Other than that, it was a splendid shave. IMG_20190308_090803.jpg

I picked up the mentholated Cube. I really can't tell you much more about it as I haven't even opened the package yet.

I'll be watching to read your impressions. I like menthol in my shave soap and AS. That's the one I'd choose. The product has shown up in many of their website photos with an attempt to make it look mysterious. I think there was a banana scented, too.

I really enjoy the don Miguel, it’s mainly floral with a light citrus note to it.

Banana scented sounds fun. I didn't see that one.

Chris, what a joy to come home and have your daughter share her newest scent creation with you. Very cool.

Congrats on becoming re-uncled! One can never be too uncled. I hope Eliza and Mom are doing well.

I had to google affogato. I'm down for one. I'll be right over. :)

Great shave, Andrew! The colors in your photo are striking. And it's always great to see my buddy Logan! He is growing up so fast. I'm glad you'll have more time to spend with your family once you begin your new job.
