Thanks Jason! I never take my straight razor performance for granted, but I know anything is possible under the right or wrong situations. May I never go below an A -. You have a great day my friend.
\\I was going to put this in THE HAUL,. but for some reason it stopped at page 15.....not open for further replies. Anyway, BOTH packages arrived today-first time ever that I received two shaving orders on the same day. Clubman Shave Cream(the original, not the new "tub"). Clubman Styling Gel (small size) AND The Soap Exchange-Lumberjack Shave Soap. I'll be discussing these in future SOTD's.
That sounds great, Jason. It's always nice to have top shelf shaving creams available locally. For me, that includes C.O. Bigelow and Kiss My Face.
Thanks Jason. When I "cart-shaved, it was about every 6-7 days. Now THEY were true BBS shaves. Mos def would pass the cotton ball test with flying colors.
Your meeting is probably over by now, but I hope it went well, Clint. If it helps, think of your job as a game. Sometimes I got too caught up in my work (game)...most of the time, outcomes or how things got done really didn't matter all that much...but I fell into the trap many times thinking that it did...or worse yet, thinking it had to be done my way. When I retired, my boss literally collected the game pieces, I walked out, and it was truly game over. The place hasn't fallen down without me being there, either. I don't mean to be cynical, or say you should treat your work frivolously/fail to take a stand for what's right. I know that's not the case with you. I'm just saying that it's healthy, albeit very challenging sometimes, to tune out or laugh off the ridiculous noise as much as you can. I'll give you a nickel after your retire if you don't look back on your working years and view it as a game of sorts. Seriously.
It's just a matter of time, Joe, before you have a Custom Title. You seem to be a straight A student.
Thank you..That's right, you were the one who saw my post about possibly getting them both the same day. . The Clubman shave cream is just so great. And there's some serious wood/sawdust fragrance in that soap. Soap Exchange threw in a 10% discount for my next order....nice of them cowpokes(they're based in Fort Worth, Texas).
March 9 SOTD: Razor: Parker SRX Blade: Shark Brush: PAA Starcraft Lather: PAA Cavendish Aftershave: PAA Cavendish Additional Care: Stirling Unscented PSB I had an early afternoon shave this morning, as I had a work day at the Little League fields this morning. Since I shaved so late in the day, I just kept it to one pass, and I would call it a SAS. It felt good to get cleaned up from all the mud. The field my son is supposed to play on won't be ready for weeks. The league is going to have to find an alternate. This was my first use of Cavendish, and I wonder why I waited so long. Definitely some pipe tobacco, but also some powder to it as well. It is a nice scent, and SWMBO has given it her approval. I am going to enjoy a lazy afternoon. I hope everyone has a great day!
Great B&W shot, Jim! I've considered that soap and aftershave several times just never pulled the trigger. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
When she was looking for a car i hinted to her that maybe she should look for something that is quality. The old myth that foreign cars cost more for parts is nothing but that and it was not a real hard job being that I've never done it before. Heck last week i changed a tie rod on it and it still had original part . Car is a 2005. The garages quoted her $1500 + to do the repair i did yesterday. I hear you on making your car last till its junk. Repairs are cheaper than a payment every month if you keep up the maintenance. Sadly , the flu has caught me again and I'm out of commission today. The furnace just needed a cleaning which my friend took care of as he said i was crazy for working in a cold garage. I just wanted to get her car done as she needed it for today. What lengths a man will go to for his children!
