    March 10 SOTD:

    Razor: Parker SRX
    Blade: Shark
    Brush: PAA Starcraft
    Lather: PAA Supreme Sandalwood Science
    Aftershave: PAA Supreme Sandalwood Science

    A two pass DFS with the SRX this morning, so my day is off to a good start. The soap is a new scent, and if you like Sandalwood, you should like this. I have two other Sandalwood soaps, Stirling and Proraso Red. They are very different. As @PickledNorthern used say. The Stirling Sandalwood smells like sawdust, and my wife really likes it. It is a lovely scent. The Proraso Red is also woody, but had a softer scent with some powder notes. Also very good. Well, this soap and AS seem to take the best of both and put it into one scent. It has that sawdust note along with a softer, powdery note. It really is a well done scent, IMO. My wife ducked out early this morning, but my guess is she will approve. With the shave and great scent, this day is looking like a good one. I hope everyone has a great day!

    My wife is off spending the day with a friend so I get to hang out with Maya. We are both moving pretty slow this morning. At least I was able to enjoy a relaxing shave. With no patience, I had to give the Gillette New SC I got from @Primotenore a try. Since it is such a great restoration I decided to pair it with my restoration of the Ever Ready C40 with an APS Flat Top knot. The Ever Ready loaded and lathered the MdC with ease. Three passes and touch ups ended in a drama free near perfect shave. With spring in the air, a splash Myrsol Agua Balsamica was a perfect end to the shave. I hope everyone has a great Sunday.

    You mention the sawdust scent from the PAA Sandalwood. Tell your wife that sawdust is ranked among the Art of Manliness Best Manly Smells. I think sawdust takes the lead in my soap that just arrived-Lumberjack(from The Soap Exchange). It's nice.

    Thank you, Jim! They are both good. PAA now has the best Bay Rum and Sandalwood scents I am aware of.
