Me thinks he was galloping on the left (wrong) side of the trail whilst the tree jumped out in front of him. Mind the gap, watch the pavement, and hold my Pint...us old Cowboys always say! :)

It's not like @wchnu to get his bloomers in a twist and not tell us about it. Next thing you know, he'll be shaving with a Trac II and MdC!

The left side is where civilised people operate their modes of transport. Wouldn't expect you to understand that, though

hello fello shavers, sunday shave..i went looking around for an alternative for my new sc with prewar handle and cap..it's a great shaver, but i would like it to match..so i brought out my mint post war gold tech..lovely looking razor, and very mild..so i did some measurements on the cap and you guessed it.post war cap is the same as the brass sc cap.same as a prewar also other than the post war has a long piece locating pin instead of 2 shorter ones. cool.gold fat handle fits the sc baseplate..not being a big fan of the common bar handles ,i now have a gold new sc that shaves well and looks cool.. i know.. why not replate or just find a mint sc? well ,just more money to spend, when i would rather buy a decent senator in the future..to the shave..loaded with the spoiler on its 4th go, loaded the wcs synth with stirling deep blue sea and got a captains bowlful of slick lather.fabulous 3 pass dfs+ shave, minor pick ups..,no drama..finished with the deep blue sea a/s..awesome scent..while i don't have bleu de chanel edt, i do have polo blue and bvlgari man, plus many others, that this will pair up with.. as for the prewar with the bent baseplate? well its easier and cheaper to find a decent prewar baseplate than finding or replating my damaged sc handle and cap..bonus, the sc baseplate fits in the gold tech case's blade slot so i can keep and use it in either configuration, gold tech or new sc..win win.. have a great day everyone, gary.. 20190310_105739.jpg

Congrats, Randy, on the slightly above average shave with that two-sided thingy. I guess you bloomed your soap too. What's next? A Norelco? Veddy nice.

Good shave Jim. The Parker takes what? A half DE or something like a Feather Professional? I am curious about these creatures.

    Razor - OCMM
    Blade - GEM Stainless (?)
    Brush - Bluebeard Doubloon
    Soap - TOBS Sandalwood
    Post Shave - TOBS Sandalwood

A lovely 2 pass shave with the OCMM. I haven't used this one in a while, so I decided to take it nice and easy and was rewarded with a DFS(-). I didn't bother with ATG or much cleanup as I'm all to aware of the consequences of overconfidence when using this beast of a razor. The post shave splash is alcohol free, but it still manages to provide the burn and cleansing effect!

    Enjoy your shaves gents![IMG]
