I can get good lather with Williams.. I just get a good rash to go with it. Still need to check the pH of Williams to see if it is just more alkaline or if it is a mystery fragrance issue.
I just figured yours got shipped a day or so ahead of mine. He shipped mine out on the 6th so I bet I will have it tomorrow or Saturday. Can't wait to try ti.

I have my MWF in a DR Harris tub and its tight! and the tub of course plastic! So it went quite nice. I would even attempt with my Tabac. I dont even pick the thing up and Tabac doesnt need any help. It loads into my brush like no tomorrow. Williams is tricky I admit. The lather in the brush looks very week right off the puck and yes I grind the hell out it after the puck has soaked for 10 minutes. Its OK stuff but damn it dries the hell out of your face or least it does to mine! I could use it daily but there are so many other better options. Hell, I can actually get an entire bowl of lather out it with the right brush I actually do love the smell of it also
I have yet to find anyone that didnt like it. Even Mr.picky pants Ray like it You know he never goes outside his little bubble of shaving stuff I really enjoy it. Its one of those.....if you like Proraso you will like Noxzema. The camphor is what really sticks out scent wise......well it smells like Noxzema for gods sake! 3 tubes.....I am set! 450g of goodness will hold me for a while!
There we go... I just donot ever have that kinda problem with the stuff. slightly damp boar brush..light swirl for a little bit.. lotsa lather. But oh well I over slept and missed my tom's shave this morning. will get it in the morning. Fuzzy
Not tried Noxzema, and I don't know if I ever will try Noxzema. The worst reaction I have had to anything was Noxzema deep cleansing that was suggested as a shave prep.
I finally figured I was adding too *much* water. Monday morning I put just enough water on the puck to keep from sloshing over the lip. Dumped out my mug that was soaking in the sink with the brush and put the puck soaking water in the mug. Squeezed out the brush and loaded for about 30 sec. Went to work in the mug and had just the lather I wanted. Resisted the urge to add more water. Nice and thick (as much as Williams gets "thick"), and did not dry out before I got to the other side of my face.
okay, so now i'm thinking about getting an aeropress for use in my office...I employ the use of my french press at home, but it would be impractical at work, so the aeropress may just fit the bill
