Most of my shaves are cool tap temp. I prefer it. Don't miss hot towels and only do heated lather on really cold days. Here on the South Coast that's anything below 40F.
Cool! I'll be watching for that. Between you both I doubt I have anything to contribute, except for views and likes.
Stephen - you did know we have Enablers here?
That was a roller coaster of a paragraph Andrew. "Chopping Block, lime & patchouli, ugly label, super slick, a keeper" I was on the edge of my seat, next I'll be reading up on the product. Tallow hard puck?

SOTD 03112019.gif Menthol Monday! York Peppermint Patty with a heavy menthol dose from the cream I was invited to test. Should have pulled a scoop instead of dipping the brush. Entirely too much lather with superior slipperiness and residual that doesn't quit. The blade of unknown uses is still chugging along tipped down on the right side. Two passes Coarse, one Fine, too much lather so lots of clean up that wasn't meant to be baby chasing. Nice smooth finish, and a splash of cool green juice to finish.
    Good Shaves Y'all!

IMG_1803.jpg 2nd day with the NEW SC. Continuing with the Italian soap theme, out came the Proraso Green today. Also doubled as Menthol Monday. Whipped up a nice lather in the bowl early this morning and had 3 easy passes. Not completely smooth, but more than acceptable. I remember when I used to think this cream was heavily mentholated. I think it is my most mild mentholated soap or cream now, actually.
I haven't had the time to keep up much more than superficially the past few days, hopefully I'll have a chance soon to respond properly to the great posts.
    Have a great day, all!

Beautiful picture, Jason! Love the bowls you made, just gorgeous!

I use Stirling mentholated pre shave and I don't notice the menthol at all anymore. Could be that the menthol has dissipated sitting in the soapdish.

I'm just not a fan of the dry woodsyness of sandalwood, I liked that the sweetness that the vanilla added to the mix.
Thanks Rick! It is a vegan soap base (soft croap) with shea butter and lanolin.
Too much lather? No such thing Rick! Great shave!
    Fantastic photo, Jason!
