I turned a chunck of mahogany into a shave brush handle. Whittled the block down with a razor knife and a few chisels and rough sanded it with 150, was out of all other sandpaper. Good thing i am going to home depot this week. It turned our thinner than i was originally planning because i removed a 3/8th thick slab that had some cool grain that would have been lost if I carved it. I used the block in the middle of the 3 in the 4th pic It will fit a 20mm knot, possibly a 22mm Was thinking a synthetic knot set a little deeper. I don't know but it was fun. Took about 2 hrs. Glad to hear that the surgery went well. Unfortunate news on the hip though. I’m wishing that it helps with the pain and that it’s quite awhile before the hip needs addressed. Thanks for the update, Clint.
Thanks for the updates, Clint. My prayer is that the bone spur removal relieves the pain, her recovery now is swift and as complete as possible, and she gets a good decade out of it before having to have the full reconstruction. Fingers crossed and prayers offered...
As you said, hopefully that will relieve some of her pain, I pray that it does. Does this mean her recover time for this surgery will be shorter? Sent from my Galaxy using Tapatalk
Hey Clint, thanks for the compliment. I love Agrumes. It has a wonderful lemon scent, not Arko lemon but a much deeper and fuller lemon, exactly like fresh cut lemons off the tree. Of course it has the usual MDC cushion and glide. I recently did a big den purge and there were no questions when it came time to decide if I was keeping this one.
The kids and grand kids are all home and it is a quiet night now. The shave this morning was another Darn Near Perfect shave. Using the little old razor that Gilette made years ago, nice. No burn, no blood, not even any itching. I think this is a real treat, and to think this razor could have ended in the trash. Using a new Feathe blade makes this little razor work like a charm. I did a one pass head and face shave, close and smooth, just like I want. Sandalwood being on the menue for the week, things can't be better. Hope every one is doing great. Enjoy tp
Thanks Gary, all of the ones that I have I bought when they were on sale for crazy low prices. I wouldn't give up my Stirling for them that's for sure. Sent from my Galaxy using Tapatalk
