Hi guys! I mentioned that I shaved this evening because I had a tutoring session with a student. They had a fire at the house so it had to be canceled and that is why I am still posting on TSD. Thankfully, no one was injured, but there was a lot of black soot. The woman forgot to open the flue.

It's always best to have help when shaving outdoors. @Trigger will eventually learn. If he'd only axe more questions... :D

Charlie, great shave! Funny, I always thought a Weber was a barbecue grill.

Things mostly normal with the shave this morning.....til a small tug halfway into my first pass. In the microseconds that followed....lightning shot across the upper left lip edge, thoughts ran amuk about stitches past, while pain raised hair on the neck. Needless to say...a red stream flowing for the remainder of my shave. Amazing how things appear to be coming from a river, but in reality little more than maybe a 1/4 teaspoon shed. Nothing that the styptic pencil couldn't fix in the end...:shocked002:

Already looking forward to another DE round tomorrow morning...and being the glass half full guy, I've rinsed, dried and put away the styptic pencil in it's package....but I've made sure there's nothing to trip over in the sink to cupboard path this time. :angry032:

Thanks Clint, but I just found out it was canceled due to fire. Thankfully, no one was injured.

    Hellow all.....
Working on my @brit Gilette inspirational shaving.
I used a razor that has not been tried out by me yet, for my morning shave.
This poor thing is another rescue razor, tried to clean it up, but it still needs work. The handle threads are loose and in need of repair, but it still tightens up the cap on the baseplate ok.
Seems most don't put a Feather in a razor that they never used before, but I always have good luck with them.
The soap was its normal greatness, and the cheap well worn brush did it's job fine.
The first few strokes with this old piece of brass over the cheek promised great things, there were no disappointments. I'm not certin if it's that I have gotten better, or the razors I'm using are just great shavers. More than likely it's the razors, I don't think I'm that good. I have noticed when using a wore out razor, the shave is wonderful. I figure there are 2 reasons a razor is well used till its so wore out. First, the guy who owned it was unable to buy another or it just worked so good he didn't want a different one, like an old pair of jeans that just fit perfect. This razor gave me a Darn Near Perfect shave first time. A one pass head and face shave with some touchup on the chin.

No blood, burn or itching, just nice and smooth.
The Sandalwood last till about noonish or so.
This was an enjoyable shave, with a razor some would cringe just to look at. This one gets fixed and polished, its a keeper.

    To all
    Enjoy!
