Great shave reports and photos today Gentlemen! My wife and I both got a snow day today so just having a lazy day at home hanging out with each other and the boys. Hump day! Sent from my Galaxy using Tapatalk
Wow! We have a storm going here. I'm home from work. They cut some of us out early. A few volunteered to stay behind to ride the storm out. My twenty minute drive home took just over an hour. White knuckled the whole way. Serious white out conditions. I'm a Colorado native and this is the worst that I can remember. The storm is shaving related as I'm sure Mr. Postman won't be making any deliveries today. Be safe my friends. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk

3/13/19 Neutrogena Men's Face Scrub Bohemian Brothers Beard Oil - Bay Rum Stirling SC - Bay Rum WSP Synthetic Blackland Dart Persona Blade Stirling WH/Aloe - Bay Rum Saw that a Blackland Dart razor was out for delivery this morning (ordered just this past Saturday), so postponed my shave til early afternoon when USPS would deliver. Just a couple quick thoughts...don't have tens of razors to compare to. I've only used a Merkur Futur, Fat Boy, Slim adjustable, Parker 87r, and a Merkur 15c (open comb). Able to get a DFS and occasionally a BBS shave from all of them, with many different blades. The Dart is solid/weighty. I don't have the Futur anymore, but reminded me how it felt in hand. The Darts fit/finish is impeccable. I splurged for the polished version. Similar to looking into multi coat paint, it has a very deep gloss. Shaving...felt like the Futur, but with more blade exposure (not just a gap difference). Easier to grip though, as the Dart has the handle scallop, and not smooth. Compared to the two Gillettes I'm familiar with, hard to compare, as I think the Dart has more blade edge exposure (like I remember on the Futur), and the handle feel is completely different. Definitely easy to rinse, something I'm not alway happy with on the Gillettes. I'll keep adding more thoughts.... remainder of March will only be using the Dart.
I'm with you Gary. Cool shave Terry! I wonder about your unnamed handle. What craftsman or company labored to make it only to be forgotten. Weird handles made of aluminum, once an expensive metal, are on my wild finds list! Agree with you there Perry! That'a a good cheap soap. I'm loving the lime & want to give the Blue a try next. Is it Barber Shoppy scented? Humans are fallible. Both the performers and judges. The odd judge had problem with those facets so y'all see where to improve! Not like you'd deny her. Have you tried Snapseed? It's free with lots of features. Good on Android, I think there's an Apple version, too.
Day 68. Another go/nogo test today. Omega Via Barberia Fructi is another soap that I've liked, getting its first use with a straight. I'm happy to say it passed with flying colors. Scent us a very tart citrus. The lather was awesome. Slick, wet, and I can flick it off the blade without rinsing. Perfect for straight razors. Made for three luxurious passes with the Dovo.
