  1. Thank you Bruce. She just got back from the Doctor. It’s an allergic reaction to the topical meds they placed on the incision so it’s easy to control. They took her off of the opioid pain pills and put her on Tylenol 3 which worked much better for her last time. I’m hopeful things will be much better by tomorrow.

  6. Infections worry me too. She scent the doctors photos but they still wanted to see her in person to make sure.
  7. March Focus - Pi Day!

    Moon Havana SS sample
    Omega Pro 98 boar brush
    Suribachi bowl, cool water
    Lutz Slant DE, Gillette SB
    Pinaud Special Reserve AS
SOTD 03142019.gif Second in the Series of Moon Soaps - Havana is softer than the previous Old School. The scent described as Tobacco and Bergamot, with middle notes of Vetiver, Spice, Musk, Warm Vanilla, and Aged Teak wood. Still a tallow formula and very much a creamy slick lather from the large pea sized chunk used today. Plenty of lather for three passes and a slough of edge trimming. Nice residual slickness for overlapping strokes with a well moisturized face feel after rinsing. A splash of I. Jones aftershave and I'm feeling spiffy!

A note to Paul @Paul76 - 90% of my image manipulation of the above image was done with Snapseed. On my android phone I did sharpening, detail enhancement, ambience, warmth, shadows, highlights, contrast, brightness, and cropping before emailing to my laptop. There I used Paint Shop Pro 2001 to clean up stray reflection and dust motes, clarify, resize, add Moon Soap logo, and save in GIF format.

  9. Day 69.

Three easy passes with the Dovo, and finishing touches with a G5 injector. Cognac and Cuban Cigars is a really awesome scent. I actually get some mild burn from it. But short-lived, and I like the scent enough to put up with it. As long as it doesn't get worse.

  19. . A+, outstanding progress.

I hate loose scales. I have a mini anvil and ballpeen hammer. Just light tap on the pin moving it around as you do it, then flip and more tap, tap, tap. Just make sure you don’t hit it too hard and that you flip the razor over every 5 to 10 taps and you should be good to go.

They are similar with the Colonia having a stronger citrus component and fresh aquatic feeling. The Colonia Essencia smell more like an old style cologne.

A straight razor shave and the scent of Cognac and Cuban cigars, that is how we are meant to live. Sounds like you are making great progress with the straights.
  20. He could drop in and clear that up. I won't hold my breath for that one.

Truth is, he wouldn't tolerate his own behavior. Can you imagine a tost member starting their own forum so they could only discuss DE shavers then continuing to drop back in at tost to take potshots at those he disagrees with.

I do not have a problem with him. He with me? You decide.

I just wish to be free to discuss any facet of shaving. Where else do you see SOTD photos with cartridges or canned foam? If they are happy, that's good.

    Be well
