Received in a trade a very nice vintage simpsons brush. It’s a tiny brush and initially I though of flipping it but I’ve been looking for another travel brush and this one is seems perfect ! Photo for size comparison

I stopped by WSP and had a nice talk with Lee. I left with his Formula T Olympus and the matching aftershave. I've been looking for an "Aventus" style scent and his is a great interpretation. It's been a few years since I've bought any of his products but I remember them being top shelf. I purchased the larger container and transferred the soap so I have more room for my brush. I'll use it tomorrow and make a full report.
Had a little shopping binge over the weekend after a couple mules and looking for some soaps and a DE I’ve been wanting to get at decent prices... This is the first half of my haul that arrived. I'm a little late, but here is some stuff. Nice heavy SS, micarta scales. Supposed to be known for edge retention. Been considering a shavette. This one is nice with recessed blade holder. No need to mute the blade corners. Nice weight. I've said stupid things in the past like "mugs are for coffee". I have fully repented! Went out and got me one of them 'mug soaps' to see what the fuss was all about. While I was at it. Not shaving related but, these were back in stock. A very ingenious little nail file thingy with all kinds of ways to smooth out the snaggers. I have one I keep at home, but wanted a second one for work because that is where I get most fingernail damage. Machined stainless. Works nice, but forget about it if you are on a budget.

Finally acquired a New Deluxe. It cost me more than I would have liked to pay but a lot less than what they've been selling for as of late. Also bought an thin handle New Otto Roth which I believe pending using is the same shave as a New Long Comb.
Just received my Everready 2nd Gen Streamline razor & Strop set without case and is very nice considering the age, a little brassing in the front part of the guard and I was expecting some normal wear. Sanitized & cleaned with New blade in and ready to have my shave tomorrow. Have some great shaves!
