I think it was an accident, or an incidental purchase. One of those "I bought an auction lot and this thing came with the stuff I wanted". If he decides it's a gimmick and wants to trade it away I've already made an offer! Who knew a set of John Deere dishes and non-pink coffee mugs were worth a fine piece of German shaving technology!

Is that , like, just your opinion, man? I had something similar in the late '70's but yours appears thicker and has that lived in look.

That's a right proper Dudeism there.

 

I actually like a bowl better. Lower sides. Less clanging around.

I have a Karve on the way. I will update with pictures when I get home. One popped up on E-bay at a great price with b & c plates.

 

It’s a run he did a few years ago, and only sold though Just for Men in St. Louis.

 

The scary part is that I can see an increase in my productivity, so maybe it wasn’t a bad thing.

 

Full disclosure - Mattress Firm also blocks TSD. Which partly explains why my laptop comes to work with my every day. I do at least have the freedom to do that, plus a Spectrum public wireless hub in the shopping center so I'm good to go.

What did Chris order at Waffle House?! He seems so healthy and fit, I'm curious as to what he might eat there.

For me, it's usually the All-Star Breakfast, substitute hash browns for grits. Bacon. Eggs over medium. Hash browns scattered, covered, chunked, diced, and topped. Not healthy in any way but damn delicious.

 

It would violate Cartel security to disclose the orders we made that day. However, dead cow and liquid chickens were involved.

 

Did you figure out how you cut yourself? Did you need stitches?

 

The eggs are a healthy source of protein.

 

Day 71.

Another uneventful shave with the Dovo and type G. The lather from the Siliski soap was awesome. A lot of tallow soaps wish that they were this good. Unfortunately, the scent is pretty weak for my taste. I was hoping for something to fill the void left by Queen Charlotte's Basilica scent, but no joy. I may try other scents someday if I can find samples. But their "samples" are 2oz for $6, so they miss the mark there too.
Meanwhile, the Frostbite aftershave is on the endangered species list. It's one that I can see myself replacing someday.
