Everybody is moving slow this morning after sleeping in late. Given that theme it was nice to have a very relaxing shave. The little Rover loaded and lathered the MdC Fougere with ease. MdC lathers up so quickly it is easy to not use enough water. Taking the time to add water slowly really transforms the soap. With a brush full of lather, I couldn't help myself and went for a full 4 pass shave rather than touch ups. The baby was easily caught and spanked. A splash of mentholated witch hazel followed by Myrsol Agua Balsamica and I am ready for continuing with a relaxing day. I hope everyone has a great Sunday.
  7. Beautiful picture, Clint! I hope you are getting a bit of rest from the week.

  9. I am not good at rotating through watches. I tend to pick one and wear it until I get bored. For several months I was on the kick of wearing my Glycine LE Airman. Lately I have been wearing my Hemel Arrowhead. I had forgotten how much I like wearing the Hemel.
  10. Thank you guys. I am really enjoying the relaxing afternoon yesterday and looking forward to the same today.

  15. Between the two Semogue & Omega, it's a judgment call. Semogue boars are reported to arrive in an already soft broken in state. Omegas will be stiffer of bristle and take a little while to attain the feel of the Semogue. I've been a fan of Omegas from the start. They don't all have fancy handles but the knots are top shelf and get used as replacements or installed in new handles for their long lasting performance. If you have a local supplier of Omega brushes they are worthy of purchase considering the years of non-shedding service you can expect.

In the photo, top black handled is Omega Pro #10098 boar at around three years service. Bottom is same knot pulled from a new brush & installed in a Rubberset 400 replica handle with a years service. They both keep getting better and don't shed.

  17. Thanks Rick.

More like a tech, wonder what all the hub bub is about. Nothing like the older open combs, they shave nice and close, but still very nice, with a Feather blade.

  18. Thanks Gary & Joseph!

The score so far is three grands by my only daughter, one in the oven, and some woman who claims my second oldest son got her preggers. Sure and certain all my daughters kids are hers. Excited for my oldest son & De Facto's potential Sprog. The last has been iffy from the start. The mother gets in touch every couple of years demanding money, gifts, back child support, etc. The answer every time is - submit a DNA sample for us to compare. Never had a positive response to that. The child, a girl, is 12 or 14 now. At the time of her mothers pregnancy the mom was mid or late twenties and my son 10 years her junior. No one's claiming statutory rape now, but without proof of paternity it's highly suspect. If she is my grandchild I'd like to know.
