Thanks, Charlie. I have a few Seiko watches, all JDM models.

Okay........ So I worked out a deal with the head Mr Leprechaun to get my shaving gear back. I think I found a weakness.

So I plan to be back on straights again tomorrow. Man, you shoulda seen the stuff in that truck. Looked like this place.

Didn't even have to mention how famous the Proraso Brothers are in knee surgery.

    Happy St. Patties Day

Looks good! We're about 40 minutes away from the corned beef being ready. I didn't know Hamms was still around. Been many years since I've seen it.

JDM models are Seiko's cream of the crop, Jim. I'd love see more photos as you have the opportunity to share them. I don't need another watch, but I've always been interested in a JDM Seiko diver.

Seiko is the brand the got me interested in watches. In the early 70's, my Dad and I occasionally visited pawn shops near the Ft. Knox army base. He occasionally picked up used Seiko watches that made their way back from Vietnam. He'd typically wear them awhile and either sell or trade them. He gave me one when I was in the 4th grade or so. I would wear it awhile and occasionally trade it to my Dad for one of his recent purchases. I maybe had 25 or 30 different models from that era in elementary, middle, and high school. I see these vintage Seikos now, and I wish I still had some of those old beauties. I had my last analog Seiko watch in High School, and it was actually new when I got it. It was a "Pogue" Seiko Chrono. I wish I still had it, as this model is highly collectible now. It looked just like this one...

Sales of the Special Light are limited to leprechauns and me. Really great light beer at low cost. Max Headroom approved. These days, 2 is about it. Love the flavor.

Good afternoon guys! I just hit my 100th straight razor shave! It breaks down to 46 shavette and 54 traditional SR shaves. I am halfway home of my goal of 200 in accumulating 100 shavette and 100 traditional SR shaves. OK, I am continuing my shaves for this week with my WF Engel Special. I changed brushes and used my Omega Pro 49 boar. The soap was Stirling's Bay Rum that gave a nice rich lather. I just love this scent. Did 2+ passes with touchups. I am being supercritical in my assessment and will call it as close as you can get to BBS but not quite! I am not going to quibble! Lol! I didn't have any irritation, but picked up a weeper or two. They made a disappearing act with the Clubman's stypic pen and Modessa witch hazel. Ended with a generous portion of Stirling's Bay Rum AS. Yes, I felt the healing burn! All in all, it was a very good and comfortable shave.
    Result Grade 94 = A
Have a great Sunday afternoon, gentlemen!

I'm sure they're better now. I had one when I first started wet shaving in 2012, and it was the worst brush I ever had.

Our plant, located on the Ohio river, was built on the 500-year floodplain for that reason. In 1993, we had extreme flooding (it reached the 100-year flood plain) that affected transportation into and out of the plant. Interesting times.

I had some time this afternoon, so I did a little work on the hair curler cigar box tray.

Last week, I got all the curler clips cut as needed and glued together for the frame.
    1552854116965475.jpg 1552854116457856.jpg

Today, I got the felt cut and started gluing it with 3M spray-on adhesive. I worked one section at a time. I covered the rest, sprayed, and pressed the felt in place, then let the glue set.
    1552853930660403.jpg

The handle of a ball joint separater (that doesn't see much daylight) was the perfect size and heft to hold the felt while the glue set.
    1552853930377495-01.jpeg

Now to work out how best to line the sides of the cigar box, and I'll be ready to put it all together.

Always wondered how they know that it's 500 year flood. Didn't Columbus discover America about 500 years ago???
