Waiting on a variety of chopsticks. Stainless steel and a set that appear to be made of melamine. Also some dog food can lids. Can't find them in any grocery store anymore.
Nice score! I learned to use chopstick from the throw away ones in restaurants. Picked up a SS set of four, and the beige plastic ones, too. Got a fancy set of Stirling silver sticks and spoons tucked away that came too cheap from a garage sale. Taught the grandkids to use them recently. Dog food can lids - for Old Spice mug covers? Try the lids that come on prepared Betty Crocker cake frosting tubs.
Great haul! Good of you to gather them to your Den. Will they be Collected or Used? Established dates yet? I'm a big fan of the earlier Fat Boys as they seem to give smoother reduction than later models. Top photo, middle - Schick - type D? Haven't found one of those in the wild yet. Being older should it be more efficient/aggressive? Bottom photo, bottom left - Aristocrat? Nice heavy pre-adjustable! The gold wash looks in good condition. From the knurling looks like a '46-'47.
I plan to use the melamine for the lunchbox, and the SS ones for cooking. I can see them being really handy when frying small stuff and sometimes my tongs don't quite do the job. Nope, just to cover open cans, like evaporated milk. Cake frosting is the LAST thing I need, hah!
Thanks! I have no idea on how the type D shaves like. I found these on eBay. I’m looking forward to getting them to see the condition.
Yes. I haven't tried it yet. But from some of the reviews of it I kept hearing "citrus" so I figured I'd try it. I have 13 aftershaves right now with my favorites being Pinaud Clubman, Lime Sec, Citrus Musk, Aqua Velva Ice Blue and AV Musk. So I guess I tend to like the sweeter scents. I may have to pick up some Osage as well then.
Did you read about the hoodoo and voodoo? From my reading it's mostly used for good purposes. Mostly. I like the CocaCola-ish scent, and it's Unisex so Ladies may enjoy it, too. Careful around open flame - it's high alcohol content. Another to use with caution. It's quite the menthol powerhouse. Not to be used in sensitive areas.
Oh boy is this good advice. Thoroughly wash your hands after using Osage especially if you need to make an "adjustment". Trust me, you'll only make that mistake once
I should have specified it's a brush and not a knot. Although for those of you who like the knots WCS has them for sale now, inexpensive as well. Sent from my Nokia 6.1 using Tapatalk
Still waiting on the Maggard order, they apparently put it on the slowest FedEx truck possible Sent from my Galaxy using Tapatalk
