The OCMM is a beast, no doubt about it. When Fuzzy says a SE razor still bites him if he's not careful you know you have a monster. On the other hand, once mastered, it's a fantastic razor. Just never turn your back or let your guard down!
I'll be returning to some Mild March Madness shaves starting tonight with a break on Wednesday for a "Wednesday Williams" shave as I promised the Fuzzter @wchnu last week. As I mentioned that day I had all of the ingredients for the shave he sent a picture of as the example. I have a Lather Catcher (Kampfe Star), I have Williams, and I have a Semogue boar brush. Not the same exact brush but hey, it's a close cousin. What I was missing was that girly looking pink mug of his. Well, you can't do a Wednesday Williams shave without a girly pink mug so..........here's my version. Yeah, I know it's a scuttle, but when it comes to "girly" and "pink".....this one fits the bill. I will have to say - finding anything pink and girly that can be shipped fast enough to arrive at the whim of my brain - a bit of a challenge, even for eBay.
SOTN March 17th Stirling Mentholated Pre-Shave Soap EDRIO #37 Gillette Pre-War Tech Gillette Super Stainless "The Spoiler" JR #352(30mm, Cruiser Class) Stirling Hot Apple Cider soap Blades Grim "Smolder" AS Good afternoon friends. My EDRIO them for the week is three piece Gillette razors and the first of the bunch is the Pre-War Tech. Since I am using vintage Gillette razors all week I decided to use a vintage blade as well, The Spoiler. As you can guess using Stirling soap, a Tech, and a Spoiler my shave least night was effortless and smooth. One or two more shaves on the Hot Apple Cider and it will be done. Good evening guys! I just put another straight shave in the books. Again, I am using the Engel all week. I lathered with VDH Luxury with my Omega Pro 49. My normal 2 passes, minor touchup, no blood escaped, but decided not to go BBS tonight. Applied Aqua Velva Ice Blue AS to end with a nice IBSS. Have a nice evening guys! Result Grade 96 = A
