So I'm planning to use my Ever-Ready 1912 (USA) for each shave until I have used a full pack of 10 GEM (stainless) blades. This should give me ample time to really get to grips with this type of razor. My question is - which Ever-Ready razor would be a good next step? Is there a noticeable difference between the USA and UK models? Should I get a UK model next, or should I shoot for something like a 1914 or a 1924? Any advice and/or opinions would be greatly appreciated! :happy088:

Love the warm tones in the photo Jason.

Jason the Rubberset 400s were available as a #3, #4 and no number. The #3 is the most common and the no number is the least common. I think the numbers were for different lofts.

The Personnas are my go to for modern injector blades. Have not tried the Prolines.

SV Felce Aromatica, Joseph. In a landslide for scent.

I like the Valobra. If I recall, your tub is somewhat lacking in scent, correct? Mine explodes. Seriously. Boom with fougère.
I like MdC also. I have a tub of WSO Zaro, which is fougère, which I am trying to sell, but it's not moving. I should lather it up.

    SOTD - 19th March 2019

    Razor - Ever-Ready 1912 (USA)
    Blade - GEM Stainless (3)
    Brush - Bluebeard Doubloon
    Soap - Palmolive Shave Stick
    Post - Dior Sauvage

A wonderful shave this evening. 2 passes and a little blade buffing has left me wonderfully smooth and content. I am really loving the post shave feel that this razor and blade gives. The Palmolive was excellent as usual - in fact, it offers superior slickness and protection to my TOBS creams (which cost 20x the price of a lowly Palmolive Stick).

    Enjoy your shaves gents![IMG]
