Fantastic shave tonight. My B-400 easily whipped up a wonderful lather and its glorious scent filled the bathroom. I love this soap. The Pro Guard blade performed perfectly again tonight; no irritation and the alum was silent. This and the Pro are at the top of the list right now. The Chatillon Lux finished off this great shave. Danny, you will know when the time is right to do so. In the beginning of Oct 2018, I did not think of using straights to shave. I have been a DE man for a number of years and was quite happy. I honestly don't know what prompted me to buy a Dovo shavette a few weeks later and it opened a whole new world. I was fortunate to have minimal mishaps that at shave 16, I shaved my head with it. I figured if I can do that with a shavette, then how hard would it be to try a real straight. So, I bought and received my Dovo 5/8 round point Special in the beginning of Nov. Alas, you could say the rest is history. I share this story to encourage you.

The Setup:
Razor: Merkur 34C
Blade: Feather Stainless
Brush: Perfecto Pure Badger
Mug: Henry Cavendish
Post Shave: Witch Hazel and Cetaphil

Things are looking up! I thoroughly enjoyed my shave with Captain's Choice - Venture. Was able to load the brush with a good paste and achieved a good face lather.

You know when you wipe the lather off your lips with your finger and your hand slides all the way back to your ear that it's going to be a good shave. (That may be overstating it a little bit.) CC had plenty of residual slickness, great cushion, lathered easily, and had great post shave feel.

WTG and XTG and touchup for as close to BBS as I've ever come. At the end of the day my face still felt smooth.

Ease of Lather: 8
Post shave feel: 8
Scent strength: Medium

I honestly feel like I could have gotten more out of Wholly Kaw. I was glad that it performed well. However, I've mentioned before that I like soaps that just work and I felt that with Captain's Choice. No drama, slick as can be. Great soap for me.

tuesday night shave, going with the newly acquired new bostonian lc, spoiler on 10th, jr 282 2 band badger.lathered a captains bowlful of chiseled face ghost town barber soap, and got a nice 3 pass dfs+ shave.. no drama.gtb a/ to finish ..awesome scent..enjoying all these oc razors lately , and early techs..the tto's are collecting dust, will have to fix that.., have a great evening..
