    March Madness!!

    March 19

    Razor - 1959 (E4) Gillette Super Speed
    Blade - [IMG] (2)
Soap - Jeeves of Hudson Street Bay Rum
    Brush - Omega 10066
    Post - Alum

Second shave with the Super Speed and Treet Platinum. Switched over to Jeeves Bay Rum with the small Omega for an effortless lather. Slick, cushy, no issues at all. Three full passes and the baby is in the house. That's a pretty easy report to write! In other good news, my head shave was the best in recent memory as well. Merkur 23c with Astra, VDH Scented Luxury soap with the VDH Boar brush and no Heisenberg pass was required to get cue-ball smooth. Pretty good night all around.

I'm getting ready for tomorrow's Wednesday Williams shave in honor of @wchnu, the Fuzzter. Got my puck of Williams out and it is currently blooming nicely. ONLY KIDDING! I would never molest the Williams. I do have everything ready, though, so bring on Wednesday! My week is about to hit high gear for three days. I am taking next weekend off, which, combined with my normal Monday and Tuesday, then adding a Wednesday off, will give me a bit less than a week off to get some other things moving forward. Hope you all have a great Hump Day!!

FANTASTIC CHARLIE!! I knew you'd beat that issue down and stick around for the next 50 years. Of course, you never filed the official Cartel request to have a life-threatening event/disease in the first place, and without the proper permits we simply don't let you get away with it! Seriously, nice to hear you are well and things are going great.

Thank you Jim. I was planning on it on the way back but when we finished up our job I didn’t have enough drive time left to make a stop there. But I have heard it’s a fun place.

Thank you, Neal! I appreciate the kind words. Before you know it, we'll all be sitting down together for a world class, Cartel approved St. Louis BBQ rib dinner. I can't think of a better way to celebrate. :eatdrink020:

Thank you Andrew. It is a lot nicer than the first one I won on eBay, I was fooled by the photos and received a shortened one. Learned a valuable lesson that day.

I was thinking the same thing. We'll hoist a rib in celebration for sure! Speaking of Cartel approved St. Louis BBQ ribs - Jennifer and I tried a new place about a week ago that is near us. Ethyl's BBQ. It's been around in one form or another since 1926. I had high hopes that I might find something to take down Hendricks, but, alas, while the decor was outstanding (lots of antique car/gas pump/oil company stuff, the food was no match. The sauce was more of a Carolina sauce even though it was the right cut of ribs. So, still looking at Hendricks for the meet up. I guess when you've got a good thing stick with it.

Thank you Jim. One of my friends visited there last year and said it was a really fun place and the fudge was very good too.

Thank you! I lifted the Submariner photo off the Internet, but I was fortunate to get one for myself in 2010. I had wanted one since the 1980s, and I finally gave in. There was a model changeover that year (larger case and lugs and some changes under the hood), and it was the last chance I had to pick up the older model (which I prefer). I'm glad I did, and I hope to pass it down one day to someone who will appreciate and enjoy it as much as I have.
