Hey Bong. It's just after 2:00 AM here, so I'm going to head off now.

I refuse to put iron gall ink in my pens. I use the Noodler's Bulletproof inks when I need to. They're expensive, but I don't worry much about them damaging and/or corroding my nib and/or feed.

If it weren't for drunk idiots making popcorn and pulling the fire alarm at odd hours, I woudln't have many dorm memories at all. Nothing like living on the 13th floor and have the fire alarm go off every hour during finals week.

Fuzzy, is there a SE compendium someplace online I can look up stuff on the various SE razors. The reviews here and across the street leave a lot of models out.

I saw an 1914 Pat date Ever-Ready yesterday. Very thin and fairly short handle but head looked different. I might have picked it up but the store owner kept trying to push old watches and baseball cards so it made it easy to walk away.

So I tried that Mellon razor (no idea what the real name was... it was just patented by Mellon). Quite surprising shave. At first look, there is a lot of blade exposed and I thought it was going to chew me up. However, it was probably milder than a tech. Close up shows that although there is a bit of blade exposure, if you drew a line from cap to base, there isn't really that much blade in contact with anything.

Huh... cheap arse florist.. So I went and did my usual early morning flower purchase for Valentines. Got some nice looking roses but when I took them out to put in the vases, all the leaves fell out. They had all been cut and stuffed in the bag to make it look like a full thickly leafed dozen. Guess I won't be buying roses there next year.

Its not that I forget to get stuff for my wife. I just wait until the morning to get the flowers rather than trying to hide them in a closet or outside in the freezing cold.

Yup... we have a place like that and they usually have good fruit. I just didn't think about them. She would love the chocolate dipped strawberries. I will have to try and remember that for birthday & anniversary.

My wife told me she didn't want us to spend any money this year, so I got out easy this year. I found a 'Romance Coupon Generator' online and ran off a few to give her. I obviously didn't use the 'walk along the beach' ones and such since the nearest beach is a billion and a half nautical miles away...

Good morning everybody. The expected hangover has set in and I officially feel like hell. Who is to blame? I am going for Buddy Weiser that SOB! I woke up and smelled SC for half hour before getting out of bed....yeah i have it packed in my night stand Think I am going to go for......WARS today. Should be doing MB Awakenings but....well I think I will! I feel like hell.

Might be borderline here, but I want to share this. I just got this stuff in from Hawaii. Had it a few times before, and it always brings a smile to my face. It is yellow. I am talking banana yellow!! Not a hint green anywhere, not even when you chop it up. Must be the volcanic soil over there or something. Anyway, I will now return you to your regularly schedueled programs...............

 

Wow - for once, it looks like we're going to have a non-controversial Valentine's Day!

I remembered, about a week ago, to buy a box of my Immediate Supervisors's favorite chocolates (Turtles) and a nice card, and I got up about 3 AM to leave them on the kitchen counter. It caused her to cry a little bit - I don't know whether she was happy, or disappointed that she wouldn't have something to hold over me for the next year or so!

She ordered a remote door lock system for my new "toy" (1988 Mercedes 560SEL in really nice condition) as my present.

I won on the gifting! ('cuz I was going to get the remote lock system anyway, and she knows that)

Anyway, I have reservations for dinner at our favorite little Italian restaurant tonight, so it should be a good day.

Of course, I've been practicing on this for 41 years of marriage, so it should be getting easier.
