Thanks Joe, there are much worse things. The oldest grandson is getting tubes in his ears today. A trip to the big city, get the job done, then back home. This is his second set, but he was much younger first time.
No big deal, but he will be tired by the end, so will the rest of us, its 100 miles from my front door, one way.

Yesterday's shave with done very quickly with a 3- or 4-bladed thingy and brushless shave cream in the shower. Our Aunt had fallen on Monday and called yesterday morning to ask if we'd take her to the ER. No major injuries, thankfully, and we ended up having a nice day with her. I will get a proper DE shave later today.

I'm down 65 lbs as of this morning. I weigh just below 210. It has been quite a few years since I've been at this weight. My target is 200 or so...hoping I can wear size 36 pants once again. I'll still weigh heavy compared to the weight charts, but I'd be happy to maintain there. Now that the weather has improved, my Bride and I are trying to walk 30 minutes each day. Yesterday, I walked about 50 minutes and did 10 flights of stairs. Walking and stairs are just about the perfect exercise...we can do it just about anywhere, and bad weather is never an excuse.

Carry on, men. I have a couple hundred posts to catch up sometime today.

Thanks Danny. My wedding ring flew off my finger when I waved at a friend last week. Guess I'll need to get it resized. My toe ring still fits OK, though.

 

Keep it up and you will be able to get back into the leisure suit and those bell bottoms again!

 

Repeated yesterday' s shave this morning, but I had the Crown King Spindle Duro Tali brush. A couple of minor weepers. Otherwise, another dolphin fine shave. . Suds are foaming inside the WSP puck. That's nice to see, but by day's end I hope it looks the same.

 

Sorry to interfere with the conversation. And I can not fully express what I would like to say. I am now also concerned about weight loss. If you limit the intake of salt, it will help reduce appetite, and promote weight loss. But you need to be patient.

I had a guy bring a Slim (1964, second quarter) in today asking how he needs to go about cleaning it up. I told I would take it home and clean it up for him and bring it back with a pack of blades. It was his grandfathers and he remembers his grandmother shaving his grandfather with it. You could almost see him tear up as he told the story. There is a lot of memories tied to the shaving world. I see another convert in the works. This will make number two at work.
