Why I keep coming back to TSD...

I have no reason to come back to TSD. I started here and I've never left.

So much so, that I thought "R41" was a dreaded social disease .... wait a minute ... I guess it is.

 

I’ve always found this site fun and see a lot of interesting posts from many people. Just enjoyment of our shaves and showing off our new gear. Haven’t had that much to contribute for a few months though since getting a new phone and for some reason posting pics has become a pita.

 

I thought I'd resurrect this thread. I like it here the best since everyone here is so nice. Been to a few other places, but I think here is where I will stay.

I don't have facebook, don't tweet, will not do social media. I found over a year ago a post from this guy Mantic that ran a blog. The post was about why in all the years "I, you" have been shaving with carts, it has been awful. Well all the posts I searched after that were cookie cutters of other sites.
Then I googled upon this site, and I haven't been the same since. I still read Mantics blog, but I spend my time here with people that are masters of sharp. You all don't just have serious sharp blades, your experts at using them, lotsa them.

I never left and this is the only shaving forum I belong too. Just a good group of folks that get along and have a great time discussing shaving and who knows what else.

 

I like it here for the same reasons as most of you all. I am not a fan of the forums were every one is some expert and you have the gall to not know as much as them. I have yet to read one post were someone is flaming someone for asking a question. I do not post on facebook for that reason. You all are helpful and nice, there is some joking around, but it is not hurtful.

 

i love this forum ..no pretentious experts here . just a great bunch of people trying to get better shaves with all of the options available.. sure there are disagreements and shenanigans.. that's cool..a place where everyone gets along and helps each other reach their goal..that's awesome.. want to sell your goods , hit bst..have a crap attitude? there's lots of other places for you to go..

This is also really the only forum I interact with. I will sometimes look around a bit in others, but as mentioned earlier this is the Mayberry of forums. Which brings me to a question, what do you think Floyd would whip up and use for his customers? I'm also a huge Andy Griffith show fan.
