    Razor - Cheapo shavette/Flat Bottom Tech
    Blade - Polsilver (1)/Astra SP (1)
    Brush - Bluebeard Doubloon
    Soap - TOBS Peppermint
    Post - Dior Sauvage

    Taking a very brief detour from the GEM focus, I shaved with a £3 (inc. postage) shavette in a nod to this month's theme.

    Stuck with the 2+ pass shave and ended up with a DFS. I must say that the shavette did not get as close as my 1912 which left the Tech with a lot to do... Which it did well I might add. The ease of shave with the Tech is absolutely unbelievable... It is only slightly below the post shave feel of the 1912 (which requires a little more care).

    Prep: Cold water and Stirling mentholated pre-shave soap
    Blade: Personna lab blue
    Razor: Gillette Fatboy
    Brush: Zenith B02 boar
    Soap: Stirling British Leather
    Post: Witch hazel, Stirling British Leather aftershave

    Yep, your eyes are not deceiving you. I shaved with a DE. I inherited this Fatboy from my great uncle who lived in Utah along with a box of other shaving goodies, almost all of it vintage. I haven't shaved with a DE since April 2016 but @jtspartan encouraged me to use the Fatboy yesterday and I decided to give it a run.

    Nice shave! The British Leather software was wonderful and the Fatboy did a nice job. Used setting 4 because it seemed to be in the middle. I'll maybe work this razor into the Fat Friday setup but I do not foresee ditching all my injectors and SEs and running back to DEs. It's really neat to own this razor and be able to use it from time to time.

    Off to a family birthday party and then back home for final packing and clean-up. Our house goes live tonight with possible showings starting tomorrow afternoon once we've left to head to Mickey's place.

    Blade: 7 o'Clock Permasharp Stainless (2)
    Brush: Razorock Plissoft 22
    Soap: Williams
    Post: Alum, Listerine, WH

    The puck of Williams sitting in the mug called to me today and always seems to work well with the Plissoft brush. Razor and blade are the same as the other day. I was feeling a bit lazy, though, and decided to stop after one pass with a CCS.

    Wife’s birthday today, and my inlaws have come into town for the weekend as well. Busy house today, but took the time for a nice shave earlier this morning. I’m really getting good lathers from the RR tallow formula, but the injector blade is done. I’ll switch it out for next time. Finishing with the Fine Vetiver is becoming a favourite.
    @jluc-the watch is my daily driver, a 20 year old Wittnauer.

    That is a fine looking heirloom for sure, Perry! It doesn’t need to replace your faves, but certainly deserves to be pulled out on occasion.:eatdrink047:
